Front Splitter

I have marked my front splitter coming out of my driveway.

How much is a new splitter or can it be repaired at all ?

thanks in advance for the pointers and help.

cheers

I believe a new one is around £1200

Anything can be repaired, whether it's worth doing obviously depends on how bad it is. If it's small either leave it (you're probably going to do it again!) or get a smart repair place to touch it up. If is worse than that, get it resprayed.
Alternativly see if you can find a second hand one or go aftermarket.

..

Cheers

It's just the plastic at the bottom only.
Does it require the whole splitter to be replaced ?

No. It's a thin plastic cover. I did the same sometime ago so went CF aftermarket. Rude not too.

Understeer is when you hit the wall with the front of the car and oversteer is when you hit the wall with the rear of the car. Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall and torque is how far you take the wall with you.

Where and at what cost can a CF replacement or standard item be sourced from ?

Would a smart repair be able to fix the black plastic which is scuffed ?

Thanks all

I've seen a couple wrapped in carbon as well, look very nice!
Relatively easy to get on and off the car as well.

I bought mine from a guy who does a lot of work in the CF industry, and he's started listing on ebay..

cf front lip

Those pics are of me at Spa and I provided him with them as I was impressed by his stuff. All UK made, no Chinese nonsense.

Swapping over the OEM one and this took me around 2 hours, but I'd be a lot quicker doing it again if I had to.

My OEM one was peeling like a Geordie in Magaluf and rather than spend £150 notes respraying it, I decided to go CF instead.

Only problem is that once you have one piece its not enough so now I'm CF all round, sideskirts and rear apron too.!!

Off topic, but CC why do you need a headlight casing; one broken through excessive fiddling perhaps?

My splitter is a bit shagged.

Look forward to seeing the carbon beast.

I've a work in progress which involves dismantling the headlights. I have one spare, just need another.

That way I can finish my mod, then get MH to fit the new lamps so I'm not driving around without lights!!

I'm going all gangsta bling with something like this, but white rings...

I know I'm a tit but wtf eh?!

My splitter is marked quite badly.

But the way i see it, because i drive 2 different cars, i'll soon forget about the low lip and bump it into something.

I have a CF front splitter too - not sure what the details are or if it's as good as CC's. (might even be the same company for all i know!). But until manage to pull my other off the car, i'm not going to fit it. Or maybe next summer when i get her details and looking good again.

Mine's the same as yours buddy.

If you play at Formby again, let me know as I could always fit it as you wait!
