Another GTR

Hello from New Zealand.. I recently purchased a R32 GTR from Japan a few months ago.

It passed compliance with a breeze but the certifier failed it on some minor faults. Worn bump stops, "braided" brake hoses , worn subframe bushes, rotors and pads, seat belt mount bolt, bolt in cage and no fan shroud.

Right now im giving it some TLC, cut and polish, cleaning interior - dusty as hell and other little bits and bobs.

But heres how she looks right now, im quite happy with it, the body is pretty straight, only one little slight dent in the rear right but not worried about that and it has a few goodies.

Going to chuck some 20 - 25mm bolt on spacers to space the wheels out and lower it a bit more, make it rwd and check the tune as i dont trust the tune on our shit fuel. Goes very well on 7psi, much better than my old S15 and S14. Hope you like.

[Well cant post any pictures until ive posted 15 posts blah] Will up date this with photos as soon as ive hit 15.

It has a really small hot dog.. today ill take a video behind my workshop, its quite loud and 4" from the trust front pipes.

Has anyone have a early hks evc boost controller.. its set to 1kgcm but its only reaching .7 .8 on the gauge, its definetly not boosting 14psi.. More photos today.

common fault on the "3"s, the heat gets to the EVC box,

Yeah, my silvia has a profec b spec II , first one i had was faulty, second one was mint and easy to use. If the solenoid wasnt working then it would over boost when the controller is switched on.

So, today i done minor things, check fuel mixtures and timing. Clean up interior alittle, spray paint the boost gauge holder (was rusty and shit), then noticed a green pool of water and thought F***, put it up on the hoist and found the hose under the intake plenum is leaking hands arnt small enough to fit through the gaps, i think.. my options are try get a better hose clip on and see if it leaks and if it leaks it must have a split and take the plenum off and replace the dam thing. Also noticed 4 injectors could have possible splits in them so ordering 4 of them up but oh well i love her.

PHOTO/S and couple of my old silvias.

cleeeaned!
