Maybe they need some fast cars in some of the 3rd world countries then, I don't know why they think sending food will help, all it does is give them energy to have more kids, contraception for a couple of generations will sort out alot I'd say.

Really hope not, having seen what Jurgen went through wouldn't wish a cracked block on anyone, and especially given all the pioneering work and development SVM put into the Hulk, hopefully KK can confirm!

thought they'd solved that with additional strengthening?
Wasn't there some secret AMS solution available? Hope it's not true it would be a real shame.

![]() Yes, I have to agree that the prolonged radio silence must sadly speak volumes. There has never been a longer absence of KK posts since this (triple digit page count!) thread started... ![]() I hope we get to hear the truth from the horse's mouth when the time comes.

Engine was already built by svm when the cracked blocks were occurring, at least the motor has been tested and they can now see themselfs were to improve.

People are talking like this is confirmed. Surely this is still very much a rumour?

If SVM remain silent it will only fuel speculation. If the block has gone, better to own up and move on.

I can't imagine it has. To be fair to them, isn't it a drag only car? It's only going to blow the block apart at full power and haven't all instances where it's been run at high power been videod/documented? Someone would have mentioned. It's not done enough mileage at that level to have the chance to blow. Unless we are talking light cracks with immediate catastrophic failure.
Who knows? Kev? Amar?

NEWS !
Hi everyone,
Firstly apologises for not being on the forum lately we have been busy trying to get customers cars completed, also as some of you may already know Kevan's mother is critically ill . (It has been a stressful few weeks to say the least for all of us !)Onto the Hulk ....... After Marham, all was good so we decided that we would do more research behind closed doors. So we hired out Elvington on 2 seperate occasions for Further Testing of 100mph to 200mph + times and using upto 3 bar of boost (it's a bit hard doing this on public roads, we even had Parademics on stand by all at great costs in the name of research and devlopment). When getting above the magical 200mph mark, alot changes and monitoring this data was going to be invaluable for us if we were going to do better @ the Record After performing our runs and having got our 0-100 times drastically improved (Dry weather Helped too) we noticed our 100 to 200 mph times were very similar to the Marham Run. We decided that in order to get the Top Speed record we would need more GG's, after lengthy discussion with CR Turbo's we decided to up the spec of our Turbo's. Time for the Hulk to work those muscle's harder . ....... Out came the Engine ................then............. Devestation ....... Upon stripping the engine down to make room for larger Turbo's we decided we might as well inspect the engine for wear and tear ........... Yes it is true the HULK's block had started showing signs of cracking but none external. Where we had carried out extensive strengthing the block was fine, but our block was spliting in a total different position to other blocks out there, AMS, JUN etc etc ...... Darton also confirmed they had not seen this area of cracking before. Can I point out there was no oil or water loss. Just several hair line cracks in the block casting. We know now the limitation of certain applied methods. Yes it was intially a gutt wrenching moment for all of us but as with everything in life when you fall down you pick yourself up, dust yourself off and try harder ! We are now working very closely with Mark @ Abbey Motor Sport and after various discussion will be cutting the HULK block in half to see where the problems are arrising. using our combined years of experience & knowledge we want to make sure that no stone is left unturned and we have hard facts in order for us to make future improvements. We are in a very fortunate position that the block itself did not totally self destruct and because the cracks are hairline only it should give us a better more accurate understanding of what happened. We have had a Phase 2 engine in the pipeline for a while now but we will push this forward once we have learnt any further information we may gain by cutting the old engine in half hopefully making a better, stronger, faster unit. We are going to try and aim for higher figures but in no way shape or form do we want to come across in a boasting or big headed manner for this reason at this moment no power figures will be stated. We simply want to try and push the boundaries as much as we can. We cannot reveal too much at this moment in time, only that we are increasing the size of the Turbo's and RPM of the unit that we originally had. On behalf of Kevan, myself and the SVM team would like to thank you all for your support and we will update you soon on the development over the next few months. Kindest Regards
