Can't remember where i got the 'O' rings from but i know i found some good ones which were particularly good resistance for brake fluid. I'll try and find out what i used for you buddy.

bob
Thanks buddy, would be great if you can find something from the O-ring

Also thought about contacting Brembo, but I doubt they'll answer

Regarding the tourque, mine are already disassembled...

...should have thought about that earlier

@Mikey

You get all the rebuild stuff here:

Zeckhausen Racing

Just measure your pistons and order the correspondent seal kit

Cheers,

Leo

Leo, from memory the torque setting for the calipers was in the region of 60-70 Nm. Not all that high but the caliper bodies are alloy. (make sure they're loctited of course too ). Again I'm pretty sure the o rings were the same size as injector o rings, in fact I think I may have used some of those as they have a higher tolerence to chemicals.
This might help buddy.
O-Ring Materials
Hth.

Just a quick update as it's been ages since I laid my hands on my GTR! (all tucked up in it's warm garage for the winter).
Things on my list to do in the next few months before Japfest.

Make centre consol radio surround in carbon and fit the gauges I have (still boxed)
Get my good fried jazmena to wave his Mahon spray gun around the interior of my GTR so that I can then.....
Fit my newly powder coated roll cage and polished Lifeline extinguisher.
Powder coat my wheels, (thinking gloss black at the moment). Fit Rays wheel nuts, (blue).
Pics to follow as I get each job done.
In the mean time this little beauty has been occupying my time, (some of you who have been to visit will have seen it up on my ramp).
Wide arched T25 pickup restoration with turbo WRX engine and hydro lockable diff.
It might actually kick my GTR's ass!!!

When it came in.

And now.

The panels right at the back that's wedged in the pic is being replaced and having an air intake vent fitted for the charge cooler.

A bit like this! (still the old panel here).

It's all still needs smoothing and refining, (it's just in primer & black to protect the metal atm).

Vents=cool.

The 10" rear steelies fill the widened arches beautifully.
The end result should look super tough! He wants it to be kind of rat/resto looking so he's insisting on leaving a lot of the 'character' bumps etc intact!
Good job it's not a Skyline!!!

Bob

I wasnt aware you where venturing beyond Skylines.

Heres something noteworthy, especially in connection with Volkswagens.

When on a 2 post lift, and your removing the engine and/or gearbox, they can become front heavy and tip up, the same applies to Beetles too, removing the front end and front beam will have them tipping, as can removal of engine and box.

Its always always worth using a couple of ratchet straps to keep things safe if you are removing a lot of mass, this applies to all cars but volkwagens seem especially prone.
