personally, i find initial d games quite fun, the customization isnt great, and its not very realistic, but i find the gameplay very entertaining
The downhill drifting and techniques you can use make the game fun and addicting, However i will have to agree with everyone else...Forza game are pretty fun...

Prefer something arcadey, GT5 is too serious for me. I respect the work gone into it though, a game of obsession for sure.
If you ever played 8 player daytona in trocadero/fun land in london in the 90's with hydraulic cars that moved while you crashed, turned, bumped, video cameras, massive screens and loud audio + 8 live opponents next to you all screaming at each other with spectators you would know what I mean, never had more driving game fun with that and probably never will. Screw realism - that was just balls out fun and the graphics blew your mind with every frame!

not the best game, but I've recently dusted off the G25 and started playing Sega Rally on PS3 (known as Sega Rally 3 if your more familar with the coin operated version)
its actually pretty decent and challenging on a steering wheel setup compared with the pad
