Navigation safety warning.

Got my new MY11 this morning, very pleased generally. My previous 09 didn't have 'Nav. It seems that you can't operate anything like phone, voice activation or indeed the Nav without first going into 'maps' and pressing 'ok' to the safety warning. Rog350Z has confirmed this today but, is there any way of permanently disabling this screen? It's a bit of a pain.
Ps I have read the manual, it doesn't help!
Thanks.

It's the same in the MY10 Nav cars.

Used to catch me out until I realised what was happening....

Thanks for that, at least I know I'm not doing something wrong. Will have to live with it.

Yep - it makes you press the accept liability for crashing a dieing button for the touchscreen not just Nav - if you try and operate anything it should flag the warning screen I believe then you accept liability. Has to come up every time (bloody health and safety) as it obviously doesn't know who is driving the car so you can't just 'accept once'.

New motor is stunning by the way!

Got my 2011 yesterday as well and like Rog350Z said you can't bypass or mark permanent the "OK" press, I am used to it by now as I had a R35 before it's like the mad reversing beep that is law in Japan, most export Japanese cars don't have that "feature" but for some reason it was a good idea on the R35! On the plus side the Nav and Bluetooth unit have been improved although the discoloured paddles do irritate me!

Thanks Roger, very kind.
Thing is, I'm more likely to crash and burn whilst looking for the bloody 'ok' button!
I was well impressed with your Titan (Matron). Just about right but sounds louder than 98db on first impressions. Good work.

Thanks for that. I'll just go back to my Tom Tom live then! I agree it's a very good system but the phone-call quality definitely hasn't improved from the cars point of view. I took the day off yesterday so had to make a few calls, I had: sounds like you're in a fish tank, a helicopter and someone thought I was on my bike.
The paddles are very strange looking, aren't they some sort of sexy magnesium?

There are supposed to be some kind of "sexy magnesium" but look and feel more like plastic to me!

I thought the call quality was improved and the people I spoke to on my phone said it was better than before, but having said that it was pretty crap in the previous model so any improvement is a plus.
