Yup, definitely approve of the Zilla Purple dash, well done Alex!

Surely Kev won't allow a customer car to eclipse his own Hulk?
Will be fun watching you find out, either way!

Imagine 'The Hulk' running through deep snow, then imagine 'The Yeti' following in his foot steps, snapping at his heals, the KK12R is the Yeti

Where Im doing my "own thang" is in the styling, which will almost certainly set the Yeti appart from the other SVM super heros lol

Post HULK SPEC

For those who are either interested in Engine Mechanics or blowing a load of dosh on stuff that will never see the light of day, heres a few photos of my block, fresh back from having water cooled liners fitted, youll also see Carillo Rods, CP Pistons and a GTC crank!

KK12R aka 'The Yeti'

The roll cage will be completed this coming week so more outlandish ways to spend your hard earned cash coming soon!

Looking forward to further updates. Cant wait to see what you do with the interior to meet your weight goals.

Take your point on the albino chewbacca.

Dont see how you determined its sexual orientation though lol

Much of the interior trim had to go so that the roll cage could be gusseted to the body for extra rigidity.

As the car will be used mainly on the road, Ill be 'making good' wherever possible with the help of an upholsterer

Yes I want to keep weight to a minimum, but I also want the car to have a custom, luxurious, quality feel that reflects the almighty dollar spent on the thing

Post Roll Cage

Full Chromoly Roll Cage completed yesterday by Hauser Racing.

Note, Hauser used thinner gauge tube for the non-essential bars

Cage is Gusseted to the body for extra rigidity

Additional gusseting to further strengthen the cage

Next the car goes to my body shop where the cage and exterior will be painted before the body work undergoes a mild transformation

Autotec 2004 will also attempt to remove weight from the car by cutting out any unnecessary metal YES, were going to chop this moe foe up!

Meanwhile, at Hulk Headquarters (SVM), king Kev prepares the 'power plant', Gearbox and the obligatory 1200R stickers to remind other motorists "not to mess!" lol

I admire your willingness to chop up a relatively new car!!!!
Presumably you have a mental colour in mind?

Crikey Alex, you ARE a mental! So the car will "mainly be used on the road", but you've put a sodding great cage all over the interior including massively blocking the doors?!!

Rather you than me, but I admire your insanity...

The way I see it, its no more impractical than a MP4-12C and just as easy to get in and out of

Looks like someone's already got your first choice of colour

Cage looks good, serious question; would it not have been worth adding fillets to the door bars as per the rear cross bars?

Looking forward to the interior mods as I'm toying with a similar idea myself

wow, first time ive seen these. good work from Hauser, the cage appears similar to the Nismo RC cage, will look great painted up and with over 1000hp potentially on tap if it saves alex life should the worse happen with all that power then its worth doing.

What are the thoughts on using a helmet with the cage for road use or is the cage well beyond where your head could hit?

Surely a better question is what would happen without a helmet?
I'm sure any decent fabricator would have positioned the bars as far away as possible, plus use some decent padding.

Full 6 point harness too Alex? Far more comfortable around the nether regions than a 5 point and 4 pointers aren't properly safe as you could submarine in a heavy front collision.

Good point, This is of major consern, and the main reason I thought twice about a full cage in the first place, obviously I want to try and avoid having to wear a helmet on the road, yet until I know the distance between my head and the roof bar I wont know if I can get away with padding and a good harness or if Ill have to wear a helmet as well..

Absolutely, Ive full faith in Geoff Hauser's expertise in cage building, Ben tells me he's built cages for Sumo R33's amongst others.

The OEM seatbelts have been removed completely and the cross bar behind the seats designed for fixing a harness.

Trust me, Ill want to make sure my head is well clear of the roof bar, padding and a good harness are for deffinate.
