Yep they shift to a breaker or the owner does a insurance job on it (and people wonder why insurance is going up) , they buy it and strip the goods bit off it and scrap the rest of the car.

Every wondered why there are so many 32 gtr parts up for sale?

Hence in the long run the 'good' 32 gtr's are actually going up in value due to the fact there getting more rare every day.

Obviously you have the dreamer trying to sell a bag of crap 32 for the same money as a decent one, they will be up for sale for a long time. Im sure Matty32 will tell you the same

Thanks matty, how much in your opinion is a lm worth compared to a normal 33, if it was a decent clean car?

I also fully agree with this comment. Just think it's slightly mad when you consider how for example, evos seem to drop in value everytime a new one comes out, also how much of a newer car will possibly be had for the same money as a older one

There have always been dirt cheap examples about, but it's not about that, good examples with high specs/power always go for a lot more. Seen 33s sold near enough 20K or a few even more, and 32s round 15-16K.
a couple of years ago £4K would buy you a nice 32 which would now cost round about £8K... don't know... I think they have gone up (the right examples).
I still regret to this day I did not buy MarkyMark's 34 for less than what it cost now, as good spec 34's are going up big time

Who has got this car now btw?

Guys, stop deluding yourselves. The Yen has dropped due to recent events and is about to go right down even further. Which means the importers are going to have a field day bringing cars over again, that influx is going to knock the bollocks out of the prices of cars already here. I've been monitoring the Yen since the disaster occurred, and over the past week it has dropped considerably, and it can only get worse.

Ah yea, thats just evos, there all very similar and always gets slightly better the newer they get.

Another similar example is porsche 911;take the 993 vs 996 .

The 993 is the last of the watercooled 991s and were also in short supply, and they're making much stronger money than the 996s, throughout the range c2/c4/turbo/gt2,ect

The R34 is the last of the RB gtr's and also in short supply, in 10 years time will r34s outprice r35s, quite possibly

I've no doubt at all about R34's being worth more than R35's in the long run, but just wait and see how cheap the cars in Japan get in the very near future. Japanese R35 prices will probably fall through the floor, which means the importers will bring loads over and devalue the 2nd hand prices of the R35's already here. That will please all the R35 owners that are constantly bigging up their car's value. LOL

I've been following R34 prices for a few years now and they have not reduced at the same rate as other models, in my view its worth paying extra for a well looked after example rather than finding a cheap car. Also the market seems to be flooded with R33s which surely has reduced values. All depends on what someone is willing to pay at the end of day I guess....

Nigel Power - I now own the BEAST, best car I've owned by far!
