Very nice project, And like most people here I too have often thought of doing something like this, I keep getting distracted by other things though, I do however have a nice Porsche 924 that I could take to bits for parts though

Looks good.

You going non power steering?
Front axle will be pretty heavy on the arms if so!

Running the standard location for the RB25 turbos as they fit very well. And dont have room for the top mount as the chassis rails will get in the way and would probably cook the bonet heh. See pics below. Oh also this is the standard RB25 turbo so anything pass 9-12 psi and it will probably throw blades so i need to look into a direct replacement with upgraded parts. Tbh im not looking for massive power but response. Tho this turbo has only done 66k km from new. So not too bad. If anyone knows of a good place to get a refurb turbo and SS manifold and elbow let me know!

As for the power steering there is no plans for any =( So right hand turns will be ok....... but left not so. heh I can add it at a later date if needed so no worries but want to keep it very simple. Eventualy will get a dry sump and will mount the scav pump in the PS/AC location.

Quite a smart move going to the 20 box, if it holds up.
We are just in the process of fitting a 350z motor and box into my old sunny, I cant get over how wide the gearbox is....its roughly 350mm (tunnel id) which is wider than the distance between the seats ....:O
GAH!!
I think you would struggle to get an R box in your car ...

Indeed i have an old 4x4 auto box and its huge. I have made the tunnel wide enough to fit a 25 box if needed but with the weight of the car and the cost of the 20 box's i think it should be ok. Seeing as its pretty much the same box as the s14/15's i cant see it being much of a problem. In the final stage after the IVA test i will be going for a full body and should look like the Donkervoort RS06. But will be running the R34's rear and front lights.

Has a "Morgan-ish" thing going on.

....Still think you need more rubber on the back....

I agree 100% with the extra rubber on the rear. But just for the IVA i will be using these wheels once thats done and i start on the new bodywork then i will go for some 245's on the back maby a little larger.

Just talking with a mate of mine that runs an R32 gtst rb26 / hes had an rb20 box in the car 5 years ....still hanging in, but the engine now makes 380 awkws, so might go pop soon, but even so , lasted quite well (Its a track car)
I would think it would be fine in a sub 600kg car ...(even with grip)
