2009/2010 UPGRADE KIT TO 2011 MODEL

Nissan Europe just informed that there will be an upgrade kit to improve the
R35 GT-R 2009 and 2010 models to the 2011 model standard, to be launched late summer this year in! This sounds like great news and it only remains to be seen what the price will be and what will be the specifics.

Rather negative reaction from you!
I would say the 2011 is so fantastic and has such great performance that Nissan will be offering an Upgrade Kit for the 2009 and 2010 GT-R's to also have this great performance. I think it is a good move on Nissan's part to take this step also in Europe, a step which has already been anounced in the USA
in the past.

Super stuff, wonder what exactly this will entail, suspension, ecu, intakes??? and weather there will be various packages, would only really be interested in the engine tweaks myself. But great news.

Hmmm

In some ways, not a case study on great product positioning, this car.

Too cheap in 09, too expensive in MY11; LC1 shambles. Any upgrade, whilst welcome, is a flagging sales sop.

I really think Nissan could kill 75% of the aftermarket with some '10-15%' better mods across brakes, cooling, power etc.

I fancy some 2011 suspension if it really gives much better ride comfort.

Always wondered can the existing blistens not be adjusted to give better ride in comfort, there an electro magnetic adjustable setup aren't they? Has anyone ever tried recalibrating them?

I did, and what he had available wasn't 2012 shocks.

I need to get a ride in a 2012 and then decide, and also find out if the new shocks will fit the old model. The cooling and handling are all fine on my road car, and the electronics are more than covered with the AP, just want to improve the ride.

Maybe a set of take offs will appear for sale at some point, probably from overseas.

Me too. Also wonder if servicing would then change to 12 months in line with the MY11.

Whoa whoa whoa!!! Hold on a minute...

...are you saying 09 owners are going to be able to upgrade to the leather boot strap for less than 20k?!?!

Awesome news!
