Rally cars are a much smaller displacement though so will take longer to spool the same size turbo and as such suffer more from lag........ If you're on a circuit then you really shouldn't be dropping below the RPM where lag is even an issue........
Ever heard of a circuit car running antilag ?? I'm sure if there was some benefit then people would run it even outside of organised competition.......
