Quick question and then you can delete this post

Quick question and then you can delete this post:

does a 2010 59 reg GT-r have the new launch control which kicks in a 2K revs? meaning I am able to launch as and when I want to?

or does it have to be a 10 reg?

thanks

My import has remapped launch (2.5K) by using consult III.

.

OK now i confused,

a dealer told me 2009 UK car have a 4000 rev launch and that will invalidate your warranty?

I looked online and read that people with a 2009 and get free software upgrade to the lower 2000 rev launch. Meaning they are able to do a few launches a day and not effect warranty.

I dont know what to believe

I do not know what to believe but, did you really test you have the 4k Launch without launching the verhicle?

If your local Nissan HPC is lying to you, you would be better off calling more HPCs and ask them about this issue. Maybe you should try to call litchfield and ask them to service/repair/maintain your car as this will NOT invalidate your warranty.

US and JDM cars may have the 4k launch as standard, depending on year of reg. Note the 'update' you refer to was available to US clients who bought early cars with the higher rev launch...... after some trannies failed.

If the car is a euro spec car, registered in 09 or 10, then it would have been supplied with the 2k launch.

I'm sorry for asking in your thread but since it has to do with the same thing it should be OK I hope.
I have a 2009 GT-R with 2010 model gearbox and don't know how to launch? I've searched the forum withaout finding any proper info about HOW TO launch.
Anyone kind enough to help me?

Cheers

1) Stick it in RRR
2) foot on the brake (make sure it's pressed 100% on MFD)
3) full throttle to bring revs up - optional double stamp (release accelerator and then immediately floor it again) to get revs a little higher
4) Release brake
5) Make sure you make the first gear change!!!!

Disclaimer- RRR can be replaced with RROFF but then should an issue arise or something go pop you have now invalidated your warranty if having VDC in R mode would have saved the problem from occurring

Thank you so much for that Alloy!
Out and test the launch control now then. Think I'll stick with the RRR-mode at first.
Thanks again mate!
