658bhp with GT2860-5S on 95 octane.awesome tune

I just got my R32 GTR back today from TDP in wicklow, Ireland. Robbie there fully rebuilt the engine, refitted, ran in and gave it its final tune. Here is the result. Shows the capabilies of 2860-5s.

Brief spec - forged rb26 bored to 87mm with Tomei rods, TDP/wossner pistons, Jun oil pump, Tomei poncams bs, TDP custom CNC head work , Hks fcon-vpro V3.24, Siemens 800cc injectors and twin Garrett GT2860-5 s.

Check out the dyno run..598 rear axle hp

what boost....

We are about the same at 1.7bar on V Power

Same bore, same cams, SARD 800's, same turbos, mild RB headwork/porting, same rods

700bhp with a bit of E85

adam there serious fiqures. E85 is great stuff. Was freely available at pumps in Ireland up until 5 months ago however they took it off the market due world ethanol shortage.Pity.

mine made that power at 1.45 kgs.So around 1.4 bar.

650bhp at 1.4 bar :O

sounds like low boost to be making that much power on crappy fuel :O

yea not very high although there really is so many other variables involved other than boost to get a certain amount of power...so iv learned.
Before the rebuild my engine made 580.3 rwhp at 1.2 bar.
Now with the new engine due to lowering the compression(8.75:1 compared to 8.9:1) to cope better with low octane fuel it makes less power at higher boost than before..573rwhp at 1.3bar,598rwhp at 1.4 ish.Everything else being equal.
The ecu,the mapper, ignition advance, injector type(spray method)level of head modification, cam timing, compression all helped in getting my engine to that power with relatively low boost.

Would make a nice bit more at 1.6 but would be well out of octane for that so the engine was purposily built to make big power @ low boost. also still only running a single fuel pump so i wont be going past 1.4.

U running 2 pumps to cope with the e85?

I'd be interested to know its real world performance - 1/4mile TV for example. Dynos can be discussed / compared forever with no real gain LOL

We ran two pumps at 500bhp

very true ! 1/4 time and car weight is a more accurate measure
