$6000 compared to $1700.....Hence I have the knockoffs

These will probably become the track wheels when I can get some Enkei RPF1's

Oh really? Looked quite big compared to a T04Z but I guess wheel trims are the key.

If they perform like 2530's how come you went single? you had all the gear so you could of just gone to better low mounts. I know a single looks nicer tho

Did you take the car to that different fabricator yet? This must be driving you mad!

Sorry wasn't too clear Andy, should perform like the RB26 with 2530's down low, with the higher power from the extra 400cc and the bigger turbo....that is the theory at least!
I would have had to make a new exhaust anyway, and I got sick of replacing the twins as they are messy plumbing wise.....I wanted to simplify the whole thing, there is so much unneeded garbage on the RB......you have to remember the RB26 was bought out as a twin turbo as there wasn't very good turbo tech 20 years ago as far as a good single goes.

I got the sh1ts with the fabricator, and got the car picked up and taken to NZEFI, within an hour of being there they had it on the hoist and were working on the exhaust.....a change from it sitting in the corner for 3 mths!
Hopefully I should have some progress soon

On a plus note.....4 large boxes arrived from Poland today for the Blue Monster

I get what your saying mate.....it should really work nicely as you seem to have a good balance there.

Will you be getting NZEFI to tune it? I hear they are pretty good!

On a side note, have you tried the other 2 race tracks? I've been planning a move to Timaru in future and I heard Levels is a good circuit too. Could be 5-10 years before I can exit Auckland tho

I hope so, should be a fun toy!

I've had NZEFI tune the car now for a while after a previous well know tuner nearly destroyed the engine from a terrible tune. NZEFI got it sorted, and I've been using them ever since.

I've never driven on Levels or Teratonga, but I wouldn't mind a go.....I think I would enjoy Levels more than Ruapuna in the GTR.

I had to drop one of the undercar braces off to NZEFI this morning so they could check fitment for the custom exhaust, and they had finished the front pipe already.....and it looks SEX!

.....rock on the rest of it!

Good to hear they're making solid progress too, does that mean it may be near to getting tuned?

NZEFI definitely seem like a really good choice, they'd be one of the only outfits I'd trust with my own car.

Once they have done the exhaust, I will whip the front pipe, manifold and the Turbo exhaust housing off and send them to HPC to be coated, While those bits are away I can pump the guards and fit the brakes and finish a couple of things, Then it's back to NZEFI to get all the sensors and fuel pumps wired to the Link G4 (with sneaky new top board) and then it's dyno tune/run in!

Yeah NZEFI are the only choice for Cantabs! If I was I Timaru I would use LINKTECH
