my friend has one as a company car , its ok depends on what you want it for really as a replacment for a skyline i think you would be very disapointed ,does not feel as quick as you would think for power ,weight and size of car . i suppose thats the problem with owening a GTR everything else is rubbish (apart from the obvious exotics ) thought i would add that before i get slagged of by all the pagani zonda owners out their

Mate who does sign writing, covered on in the union jack, and took it for a spin, said it was on a par with several Elise's he has driven, more of a country road sprinter then a motorway blaster

well Ian......

Where do i start on this one? I have been round the mill with this car as it seems a bl**dy great package for the money and got one as a loan for the wekend, thats how serious i was about buying on ebut as you know, other things have taken an interest!!ha ha!
Well, IMHO , this car is everything the Elise should be!! It is oneof the only cars i have seriously been able to lift off the throttle and then accelerate hard up the **** of someone trying all the way in a decent car in front if you know what i mean. Think it must be down to the weight as the friend in front had a 330 BMW (ok, not a blisteringly quick car) but to be able to lift off the throttle and then hammer back up his as at will, whilst he is hard to the floor says a lot in my books!!.
The main issue from a buyers point of view is the fantastically unbeleivable depreciation on the car because of the badge, so my advice would be not to buy new. It is however an even bigger nightmare to get in and out of with the roof on than the elise. The side sills are like a coffee table and unless the roof is off you have to crawl over these to get in. Once inside, it does fel the part and the handling is pretty good especially if you are used to lugging a skyline round town etc, quite simply a case of point and shoot and it goes in that general direction. Would love to find fault with the car but really, the awkwardness of access and the depreciation are all i could really find wrong with it !! Not an everyday car if you know what i mean but i could think of a lot worse. Surely with a turbo vauxhall the tuning capabilities out there must be large for the big bhp enthusiast but trust me, the weight of the thing and the fact that your ass is dragging a few inches off the floor , more than make up for times or speedo readings!!Plus added bonus is that you can drive on the twisties without the respect you would give the Skyline and its more forgiving, like i say, point and shoot.
Have a go, thats my advice but be prepaired for fun!!!!

jas
Try one out Ian, IMHO they are great fun!!

forgot to say......

when you do test drive, don`t go with a mentality of comparison. ie. as soon as you plant it, dont expect the GTR type of pinning to the seat but if you treat it like going for a days go-karting you will soon get the picture. I am sure everyone , no matter how fast their car, enjoys go-karts and is left grinning afterwards, this car has the same effect if you go with that sort of attitude!!
Christ, going to get a job at vauxhall a this rate!! ha ha!!
