Nothing is decent these days unless you spend big bucks and get genuine,
They're all coppies of coppies of coppies. its like chinese whispers, the end result is miles off!!!

The ones i have fit ok, bit of messing needed but no big deal, but i want the fit to be perfect. Unlike the jun coppies i bought first time round, and the arches are awfull, but they WILL fit.... somehow

Hows yours going?

Very true words indeed, I know of a few sellers using molds taken off sets of arches that I sold them. I still regret selling the originals I had to take the molds off in the first place.

the best way is to modify them to fit by adding, chopping or whatever and when they are done, take a mould of them. or just start from scratch. i got all the panels off another r32 so i can make my own carbon fibre panels. dont trust any others to be honest

Hi mate, progress is slow due to customers cars, but i will have some updates soon, although not to do with the abs yet!
I dont see any reason for the awd not to work as long as you have left all the associated wiring intact.

lol I may find out sooner than you... awaiting ecu with TPS fix. I wouldn't think it would affect it neither, however I still dont know of anyone successfully running it like this.

Right, ive managed to get a little bit done with the car over the past couple of days.
So i thought i'd use this misserable hungover sunday afternoon to make an update on here..

Its been a little slow in the progress department to be honest, i had hoped to be up and running by now. But as per usual, nothing goes to plan, and its my own fault for getting carried away with it.

The dry sump system has been the hold up, Andy@AMT has been a saint and put up with the constant delays and excuses from Titan (the pump manufacturers).
Can you believe a company who makes pumps, does not stock any of the parts on the shelf to make a pump!! In total it took about 4 months to get hold of!!
Anyway, once Andy had the pump, he was able to make a pulley and bracket etc for me.

So as soon as that little lot turned up, i got it bolted on.

Next on the to do list was measure up for the hoses and fittings i needed. This is where it got tricky.
The 'scavenge in' sections of the pump are pretty damn close to the anti roll bar. It looks as if there is room (just), but once the screw fitting is bolted onto the pump, and then a -12 90deg hose fitting screwed on to that.......... well......fun and games...

So basicly, the hose runs from the sump to pump are not as direct as i had planned, but they are as good as it will get without re-designing the whole setup. But who knows... one day maybe..

The pictures dont pickup on just how close the arb is, but as you can see, the rear scavenge faces toward the back of the sump to the rear pickup. So thats fine, but the front scavenge hits the arb if faced in any other direction than the one its in now, even with just a plain 90* bend. So the big loop was the only way to do it.

Rear pickup is a tight fit between the subframe and stearing rack. So much so, the rack had to come back out and engine lifted up to get a spanner on it!

The poor thing looks a little sad and neglected sat in its dusty corner all this time! Cant wait to finally get it off the stands and back on the floor.

This is the fitting for the pressure side of the pump- the feed to the engine. Again, so damn close. There is a gnats **** hair between the fitting and the tensioner bracket from the p/s pump.

For some reason, i havent got any pics of where it goes, but ill get one or two next week when im back in work.
The hose runs under the slam pannel infront of the rad, into the engine bay where the remote filter sits, then back down to the fitting on the block that Andy made up.
Then there is an oil cooler fitted between the i/c and rad.
I was going to put it in the wheel arch, but after much deliberation, decided to leave it up front.

I have used -16 for the scavenge return to the tank, and 12 for the feed to the pump from the tank

Ignore the hose and loose wires etc.....It'll all come good soon!
The hose runs to the top of the rad, its just tucked there out of the way.

Hoses still need to be pinned down yet

Then into the boot. Looking at it now, i wish i painted it red too. But if you remember, this was still going to be full trim and road going!!
Oh, and still purple!
Then i decided on doing the colour change, then doing the engine bay too, then stripping the interior, then painting the whole inside.......... ill do it next time everythings out.

Tank is a bargain i found on ebay. A 3gal Patterson tank out of a Nascar.

So last thing, i filled the tank with oil and primed the pump with a drill to get the oil flowing round the pipes. I left the oil feed off the top of the turbo so i could see the oil was getting through. It took a while initially, but it worked, yey!
I wanted to get it all circulating and check the scavenges were working and the oil was getting back to the tank. But, in all the excitement, i forgot all about the oil return from the turbo, and sods law, i didnt have any hose the right size.
So that put an end to the fun for the weekend as i wont be able to get any untill wednesday now.

So once i'm happy that the oil is circulating propperly and there are no leaks, i can sleep at night!

Tis all for now.
