Biot Offset Kit bracket question

Hi. I just got my hands on a set of BIOT offset brake kit. This mounts the calipers further out to fit in bigger rotors. I am having issue installing it. Some grinding are required on the knuckle and caliper but that's already all done and works well.

I got everything fitted in but what worries me is that there seems to be a smooth 'ring' on the 2 of the bolts on the bracket. These 2 bolts are bolted on to the knuckle. The other 2 bolts to the calipers have no issues.

My concerns are:-

1) Why are there a section of the bolt that is smooth (it's actually a slip on ring)?
2) With the smooth ring, the calipers thus is not fastened to a dead stop. I am able to push it all out to the inside or the outside as per illustration below.

Anyone have any idea / expertise on why is the design like so?

Looks like your missing some washers/shims to me? Maybe its to allow for correct spacing of the calipers on the rotors with shims?
PM Al, (lightspeed) as he's installed a set of these on his GTR already.
Hope that helps.

Are these to fit the R34 N1 rear discs with std rear 33/34 Brembo?

I have some pictures of mine I can post up tonight.

Thanks for the replies.

This is the front kit to convert the rotors to 345mm on a ER34. Would appreciate some pics / input. Else I'm heading to the machine shop to fabricate a stopper ring so that the brackets/calipers would not move as illustrated above.

Yes, looks like it needs shims either side so you can center the caliper on the disc. Putting a spacer on one side only may not be appropriate for correct alignment.
