Tazmanian Devil SVM-A1200R+

Hi Guys & Gals,

Firstly We wish you all a very Happy and Prosperous 2012 !!! May it be a good year for all of us

Having met Steve through one of his Family members, whose car we had already converted (950R). Steve was keen for us to take his pride and joy into the operation theatre and make something a little special (Better than his uncle's ...lol...Nothing like competition in the family )

One request that we had from Steve was to keep the final build spec of the engine 'Top Secret' all we can say is that it not one of our normal Blueprinted Engine's ....this one has a slight tweek here and there for even more ponies !

Steve wanted to opt for selection of Carbon parts that he had seen on various GT-R's and wanted to combine the best bits he liked (AMS/GTC & Knight Racer)that would complement the 'Titanium Grey Paint' to make the car his own.

All the Carbon Parts were to be in a Matt Finish and some of them to be part painted.

One of the 1st job's was to remove the Roof panel ready for the AMS Carbon one.

(The External shots of the finished car will be posted within the next week or so as the car is due for completion, Steve wants us to show you the finished article for that intial impact !)

This Car is been built as the Ultimate Fast Road car, although Steve might do the odd track day, his main request was he just wanted something that would show a clean pair of heals to pretty much everything out there on the roads.

Steve chose Nitron 'Hulk Spec' Fully adjustable race Suspension and Eibach ARB's

For Stopping Alcon BBk's

More pic's to come very soon ..........

Regards

Hi all, my first post on the GTROC site so go easy!

As has been posted above by SVM, my uncle has already had the
'SVM treatment' with his 950r and over the past few months since getting my GTR I have been in discussions with SVM to come up with what I believe will be a pretty special GTR (to me at least).

Over the past few months the spec has grown and new bits have been added and changed but I do do believe that where we are at the moment will give me exactly what I wanted, one of the fastest cars on the road and as i do a couple of track days in a year, something that will be more than capable on the track too, hence suspension & brakes upgrades etc.

I know some do not like the naming of these projects and think they are a bit pathetic but I have decided to go for a name as I do feel it kind of distinguishes one project from another, especially if they are similar builds say from SVM. I know it helps certainly with conversations between myself and my uncle when we are discussing various builds that have been on this forum. I have gone for the name "The Tasmanian Devil"

To sign off I will say that I know that people have varying opinions and experiences with SVM but from my point of view with my dealings with both Kevan and Amar I will say that they have been first class in terms of their help to bring my build together with countless phone calls and email exchanges, even still getting updates on Christmas Eve and also a few calls between the Xmas / New Year period and having seen the result of their work first hand through my uncles build I know they can produce the goods.

I hope you all enjoy the build and more photos and some build specifics will follow.

Fair point, may be I did not put it down my words very well, I was thinking more of recent posts on the 'Hulk Project' thread.

Did not mean anything by it just thought I would put my experiences with them and views of them as a trader forward.

Steve

Majority of the naysayers haven't actually dealt with SVM directly.

Welcome to the forum Steve

Hey Marc, I needed all this just to stand a chance of keeping up with you!!!

Won't run it at full beans on the track anyway... And if I do I can turn it down if I'm too far ahead lol (even though I don't think that will be the case at all)

Will be good fun though with the two of us on track
