The titanium one i had which was the same design but with the rarer nismo badge sold for £1600.

You can't anodise titanium.

Titanium can turn blue when heated to a certian temperature but i'm not sure if the blue would be as solid as yours.

Painted titanium I reckon.

The bolt holes/end plates would have to be much thicker if made from aluminium

titanium sparks white when ground, the only way you can know for sure is to fire up a grinder! Which im sure you wont want to do on something of this value!

There 2 two types

1) the one you have above which was released when the 33 was out - someones obviously painted it. it is Ti, but it should look like this:

ironic that it is the one that was made after yours (check the serial number)

this one is currently for sale for around £1800

this is another from my picture files

2) the type that Neilo had (new/current Nismo logo) they go for around 300,000 yen now

silly money but they do (due to the badge and they also look slightly different on the finish)

hope that helps.

its a nice brace and id buy one but i like the new Ti version from Nismo (just cannot justify the expense of £2k)

If you could found one at the price I bought mine I am sure you would do defenetly apparently the seller didn't know the value but me neither ) I got a bargain that's all I can say, is it any way that I can remove the paint without damaging the strut brace?

Well I wouldn't say it's a bargain because it's painted

They only fetch that money in Japan no where else

Not many people want the old nismo logo one

i dont mind is better than nothing , i could not believe my eyes when i found it in front of me for sale , and the first thing i said was this color brace is for my car. Then once i found out that it was a TI i have started thinking that is better in TI i will see if i can find something that takes the color off without damaging it.

I'm pretty sure the could be removed buddy, it's a real beauty!!!!
I have to say I MUCH prefer the old Nismo logo like your to the new red and black one, particularly when relating to more period cars. The new logo always looks too modern for the older cars if that makes sense?
Very nice purchase buddy!

thanks a lot i have the same opinion like you much nicer and unique, maybe even rarer. i think i will leave it as it is cause the car is bb and the silicon pipes i am going to use are blue. engine will be wrinkle red and nismo intake and twin turbo i am thinking to anodize them nickel. what do you think?

Drill the rivets out carefully, take paint stripper and clean it all off with water, repeat if necessary, wash with soapy water then re-rivet the plate.
Voila - should be good as new.
