Virtually Standard 1998 R33GTR For Sale

Hi all,

Unfortunately following my thread on taking the car to Southern California and the resounding NO, its not possible. I'm having to consider selling it.

Its a 1998 R33GTR
67500 miles
I'm the 3rd owner from new, it was imported into the UK when it was 6mths old.
It has a Full service history 90% of this is Abbey Motorsport. I have the stamped up book and a box file full of receipts. Plus all old MOT's

The car has a full HKS exhaust system, Apexi twin Airfilters and a polished / baffled twin turbo pipe that I bought from the shop on here and fitted myself.

Its dark metalic blue on original wheels that are still in great condition. Obviously, spec 3 twin air bag interior, halogen headlights and the engine block is the same red as that in the R34.

The car is in great condition, no corrosion anywhere. The jacking points are like new as is the interior, no holes or additional guages anywhere, its exactly how Nissan sold it.

There are no faults at with the car, everything works as it should mechanically and electronically.

The car is currently with me in France. I can and will bring it back to the UK for a sale but initially I'll send photos and answer any questions on request.

I'm only selling because I'm moving to Southern California, I took over 6mths to find this car as I wanted a completely unmolested example. This car is great and I will be genuinely sorry to see it go.

Sensible offers and enquires around £10,000 welcomed.

Steve

Photos to follow tomorrow.

Price please, forum rules, can't have 'open to offers' etc. Pictures would also be a good idea.

i use a website called photobucket, upload your pictures on there. Then underneath the pictures it will give you a image code. Copy the image code & not the image & paste it into this box.

It will look like just some wierd numbers & letters but it will work. You can always preview the post before you post it.

Hopefully they will work.

I've had a couple of PM's asking for photos of inside the boot, the jack points and also whether the seats have any tears, rips etc.

The interior is like new, literally like new. No holes, no rips, no wear to the bolsters, steering wheel etc. There are no holes, filled or otherwise.
I work in the aerospace industry and the car has been protected every year with Ardrox AV30 which is used on Ferous (Iron based) metals that will be exposed to harsh opertating conditions, eg Salted runways, to prevent any corrosion.

The car appears never to have been jacked up using the jack points or sills, there is NO crushing or wear at all.

As soon as the snow thaws I'll get the car out of the garage and post the requested photos plus any other specific demands.

Also, yes it has had a cambelt & tensioner change, this was done by Abbey Motorsport, I have the receipt.

Its one of the very last R33GTR's made and has been loved by those who have owned it.

Thanks Steve

Hi,

Check out the the 3rd photo (its only posted the link), its not been taken directly from in front so there is some reflection on the RH light but I think it does have Xenon headlights.

If I lift the bonnet is there a way to tell?

Thanks,

Steve

Steve, beautiful car!

One Man's Lonely Adventure In His R33 GT-R: How a Series 3 BCNR33 is Different From the Other R33 GT-Rs

I just did a post on the differences between a Series 3 - one of the photos (3rd one down) shows the front of my car with the Xenons.

You probably have aftermarket HIDs, but JapFreak is right, they are not the factory Xenons.

And yes they made V-specs in 1998.

Just noticed this thread and it is so good to see such a beautiful Series 3 for sale.
It may be that the factory HIDs were sold. They fetch up to £1000 secondhand.

Ah, any car thread involving a post 1997 R33 GTR and the series 3 boys come out to play. Brilliant, like clockwork. Just surprised its taken Mudflap over 24 hours.

Anyway fantastic looking GTR, good luck with the sale. Series 3 in this condition and at this price shouldn’t hang about.
