Hotspots on flywheel - is it ok to use as is?

Hi all,

Bought a spec twin plate clutch recently for my R32 GTR...

The flywheel and one side of the floating plate have some hot spots on them, any idea if its ok to use as is or would I need to get them repaired somehow? (machine shop i guess?)

Was told had done 500 miles and can believe it from the condition of the friction plate, its just the hot spots i'm concerned about

Thanks,
Alex

I'd not worry about discolouration. Just check they are flat/parralel.

I really wouldn't worry about it.
But if your concerned, take it to your local machine shop and get them to test it for cracks/warping.

99.99 likley that it's totally fine tho.
