Because the car is a road legal car, i.e. tax, mot and insured it can go in the Club class - however there are strict rules on times - roughly it goes if my time is within 5% of the next grade (Pro Class) under similar circumstances then I get a 'strike' 3 strikes and you will get moved up..

As we still don't know who is in which class we will have to see how things pan out at the first race.

However, it is a 3 year plan to compete in all 3 classes...

So next year if all goes according to plan we should be on a wide body carbon fiber kit with full weight reduction..

Rich.

nice plan, aware of the 3 strike rule, and as you say, will be interesting to see how things pan out at the first event!

Shouldn't get within the time as they can run full slicks and I'm on road legal tyres still.

But agree - very interesting..

Rich.

Thought I recognised them.

I was at Tillett yesterday looking for seats for a non-GT-R.
But as I want to be able to use normal belts or a harness I've gone for the less hardcore B1.

They are amazing though, until you seen them in person you just can't appreciate the level of workmanship and the finish.

Yesterday Richard, Phil, Jon, Adie, Tom, Steve and myself headed to Bedford for 1st shake down of RM TA GT-R (other than a couple runs at soaking wet marham 194mph top speed).

A few laps throughout the day were purely to get the GT-R checked for issues, test new Dixcel brakes and initial check of KW suspension which needs set up. Pretty cold & windy day, lots tire slip (shot r888's had seen better days) even on 1.2bar and mild throttle running 1.19's. The 19" w/ R6's couldn't be used due to bad fit. Good feedback on what needs to be done, i'll let Chubby chime in on rest....

In between checking logs, i managed to grab a couple shots of the day (i have no expertise in cameras or cutting)

Nice video Ben. It's difficult to get a perspective of the speed of the car but it sure looked like it picked up its heels on that back straight

Just been chatting to the Cobb Motorsport team who have helped us out with a big headache we'd been having at the weekends first test.

Turns out the front OS Giken diff doesn't work (well) with the GT-R TCM, and actually looses front wheel drive!
The Cobb Time Attack GT-R also ran front & rear OS diffs and ran into same issues we saw on sat.
Cobb we were able to verify the absence of front wheel drive because they logged wheel speed via a motec dash. The FWD would turn off after the first couple of corners with the os giken front differential in place. It would immediately switch to a RWD only mode when using the differential. As soon as they went back to the stock front differential the transmission and handling issues were gone.

Hi there, your car is looking absolutely great and I wish you luck in the time attack series this year. Can you tell me about those exhaust tips please,as I am looking to reduce the sound levels on my car. With the 102 titan I am reading 110 decibels at the moment and although it sounds great, there are not too many places where I can use it.Thanks
