I was having a read up and found this link which has a useful table of db vs perceived loudness (half way down the page). Someone mentioned the Silverstone GTR's measure 90db drive by, so we have to be less than double the loudness of their cars, around 1.6 times to pass the drive by.

Sounds like it's going to be close. If mine passes I'll ask them for the level for point of interest.

As Anders said they take around 1 hour to fit and involves removing the small side trays to access them

They are not adjustable quickly, it will mean jacking her up removing the side trays and then undoing the bolts to move them round.
So an hour to move them.

Glad to see ths here!

Anders, when I was at litchfields, I saw a blue car wrapped wit a Matt clear wrap. It was the best looking blue car I'd ever seen.

If I had a blue car I'd be seriously looking at it.

I saw a Matt Daytona Blue at Silverstone on Monday, looked great but I think I prefer shine / reflections of the standard paint.


On another note, the track day tailpipe silencers seemed to do the job. I spent most of the day running 1 BAR, but managed a few laps on a damp track (without standing water) at 1.2 BAR and wasn't black flagged.

Manjit running non resonated y-pipe and remap was black flagged and went out again running less boost (he measured 100db). I spoke with the chap who controlled the drive by db meter and he said he'd be happy to set a lower trigger level to see what sound level my car is at. I'll do this on a dry day where the additional noise from wet track won't skew the reading.
