Time for some mods

After 6 months of ownership, the modding itch became unbearable. Some parts arrived today

GTC cast downpipes

GTC Intakes with K&N filters and pre-filters

1.8Bar rad cap

DEI Titanium wrap for the downpipes

New oil

Some more parts due tomorrow

Anders

Did I see somewhere that you planned to leave the rest of the exahust stock initially? Will be interesting see what kind of effect the intakes and downpipes alone will have.
Will you manage a before and after dyno run?

Anders, im still intrigued by these pre filters. Is it just a mesh, that fits over the length of the filter ?. Any chance of a photo, of the pre filter fitted ?, if you have time, thankyou, regards, SIMON.

Understeer is when you hit the wall with the front of the car and oversteer is when you hit the wall with the rear of the car. Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall and torque is how far you take the wall with you.

I'm already running a Miltek resonated y-pipe and that dynod 545bhp 500lbft with no other changes. The intakes and downpipes will need a remap to make it safe, so the next dyno won't be bolt on mods it will include a remap.

Quite Robbie ,
So really, these pre filters, are filtering the filters. That could be construed, that the filter manufacturers, feel the filters, need extra filtering ?. I think i will leave it there , regards, SIMON.

Just had a read at that, Andy. I can see the benefit of these covers, and its an added safety feature. I raced Motocross for 10 years, and we used foam filters, which were covered in oil, then wrung out. The amount of oil that got sucked through the filter, covered the intake pipe quite liberaly, which would probably kill todays MAF sensors. So, the gauze filter, with these covers, sounds like a good idea. Regards, SIMON.

-titanium exhaust and ypipe
-ecutek remap

Saving some stuff for later:
-induction

-fuel pump

Going to mod in small sets, so I hopefully dont go too far or loose interest...
