Whifbitz RB26 Turbo Kit

Garage Whifbitz twin wastegate/twin scroll single turbo kit for the Nissan R32, R33 and R34 GTR RB26DETT.
Using our experience gained with our hugely successful Toyota Supra turbo kits we have created what we think to be the best turbo kit now available for the RB26 engine.

Our Supra turbo kits have fast become the one to have and is now considered to be one of the best in the world. Proving to be 100% reliable, in 3 years of manufacturing them we have never had a warranty claim. Race developed and proven on our own Supra's in Time Attack and Eurosaloon Race Series they have been put through the toughest of tests.

The RB26 kit has been built around the same principles and everything we have learnt with the Supra kit over the years has been applied accordingly.

As used on:

Marcus Webster and Walter Morris in there Time Attack R32 GTR's.
Christian Sauer's Time Attack R32 GTR in Denmark.

The kits come with the following parts:

The kit uses the Borg Warner T4 turbo range, starting from the S362 (62mm) up to the S383(83mm), power ranging from around 550bhp to over 1300bhp and everything in between. You also have different versions of the Borg Warner turbos. The std Borg Warner turbo and a Bullseye Power Batmowheel billet version. With the Batmowheel version you get more power and better spool up when compared with the std Borg Warner turbos, the best of both worlds.
We can also supply other makes of turbo with the kit if desired or a setup kit minus the turbo if you want to source the turbo yourself.

Using our own T4 manifold using a twin wastegate divided setup making this a true twin scroll design which greatly improves turbo spool up and response. In back to back testing on the Supra kit we gained 1100rpm spool up over an HKS T4 manifold, the only thing that was changed was the manifold and wastegates. As you can imagine this massively improves driveability especially when using the larger big power turbos.
The manifolds are made from high quality 321 stainless steel, back purged and triple pass welded for seamless internal welds. It comes with a 3 year anti crack warranty and as you can see from the pictures it is a top quality work of art.

The kit also comes with 2x Turbosmart Compgate 40mm wastegates. Unlike other kits out there you have the option of having the wastegates routing back into the downpipe or open to the atmosphere if you want to make a lot of noise!

4" V band stainless steel downpipe and midpipe. This reduces down to 3" to bolt up to your cat back exhaust or you can have it with a 4" v band flange. You have the option of having the wastegates open if you want a LOT of noise or plumbed back into the downpipe if you want them quiet. This needs to be specified at the time of ordering. Downpipe comes fitted with O2 bung for wideband sensor.

Goodridge braided oil feed line, billet aluminium oil drain flange and braided hose
using the stock oil drain on the block.

4" or 5" polished alloy intake pipe with K&N air filter
3" polished alloy intercooler pipe with silicon hoses to connect to intercooler

More details can be found on our online shop here

Good to see you doing turbo kits like your supra ones Paul, it makes it a lot easier for novices like me to decide on specs etc., its about time somebody did this for the rb26, I used to do a lot of my supra window shopping on your site :-)

Do you make a twin turbo Kit?

Also can this kit be used with the BW efr range of turbo? If so on a single turbo set up what would be the spool up on a 600 HP turbo? Would it be better than they one you have posted in this thread?

Cheers Steve, I will be releasing more and more of my own products for the RB and GTR, watch this space.

The RB26 turbo kit hopefully addresses the fact that the kits available from HKS & Greddy are way out of date, one of the aims of this kit is to bring them into the 21 century and at a cheaper price than the Japanese offerings.

I dont do a twin turbo kit unfortunately no, the single option is much simpler and the range of turbos available these days is huge.

The EFR turbos are more or less non existant, you just cant get them anywhere. So until they are available off the shelf I wont be offering them.
I can supply the kit without the turbo though if you can get hold of an EFR that is! The downpipe may need adapting to fit though just so you know.

The turbo used in the dyno sheet above was the Borg Warner S366 66mm so if you going with a max of 600bhp I would recommend the S362 62mm or even better the B362 batmowheel billet version which will produce slightly more power and spool earlier to.

Any questions just ask

Thanks
Paul

Thanks for getting back to me.

TBH I will wait for the efr turbos. they are much better than anything else on the market and worth the wait. I notice that the power really starts to come in at 4500 rpm (please correct me if i'm reading this incorrectly for about 300bhp) for me 4500 rpm is too late and I want it available from about 3000.

With a hks v cam (for low down and mid range torque/power) and an efr turbo, is this possible with a single turbo setup?. Again total power I want is 600hp.

The turbo used in the above dyno graph is the basic cast wheel 66mm version which is capable of running around 750bhp approx so its not really a direct comparison with what your after. You'll need something a lot smaller. I have no idea on the EFR turbos as ye tbut I would imagine its possible with say a Garrett GTX35 or may be a GT30 if you want it super fast response. you may run out of puff at the top end of the rev range though but you cant have it all unfortunately.

Thanks
Paul

Would be interested in knowing the price for the manifold only. Need to update my old HKS one.
