Welcome to AMT Engines

Andy at AMT Engines has finally decided to become a paid trader.

Andy is one of the forums best kept secrets, and he's flown under the radar for years, but I am proud to now be able to count him amongst our official sponsors after so many years.

Thanks for your support dude!

Mook

I wonder why these traders (garages) so many of them have joined so late.

Better late than never, I know, but why not before if they can (could) get so much potential work through the forum. I don't get it.

Good he finally decided to join anyway.

Nice to see Andy on board. He has done a lot of engines for me over the years.

He did a head on my RB26 engine and specked the cams. Ron at RK was most impressed at how the turbo spooled up (GT42) and considering the rest of the engine was normal bolt on fare, 2.7 jun bottom end, trust inlet, trust exhaust manifold etc etc, felt it was probably how the head was flowing, in conjunction with the cams that Andy specified, that made it spin up so well. It also made 816 bhp at 2 bar of boost and at around 7500rpm.

He also has done a 16v turbo vw engine for me. Again, he ignores so called experts who say things cant be done. He married up a 20v block to a 16v head with a passat crank. Cosworth plenum to a bespoke inlet manifold. He is also just finishing a tubular manifold to fit my AMT supplied, GTX3076 turbo.

He comes highly recomended!!

Mike

About bloody time Andy.

I can also vouch for the quality of Andys work. Living close by I often nip round for a chat and to see his latest developments and what's in the pipeline. He specialises in taking things to another level especially where Skylines are concerned. He has years of experience, some über equipment which means he can manufacture most things in-house, and he puts his heart and soul into every job he does. I can honestly say I have never met anybody in this industry who cares as much about every job he does. His attention to detail and the quality of his workmanship is in a different playing field to anything I've ever seen before. As for cylinder heads, I didn't realise how much impact the slightest change to a valve angle can make. Better at low revs, worse at high revs, the impact of taking a few thousands out of a port +ve and -ve. He has flow bench data to support hundreds of trials and tests so he know exactly what combination works best.
And now Syvecs kits!

Andy eats, sleeps and breathes Skylines.

Good luck mate.

Your car is already a stonking Si but, when Andys finished all the work you've got lined up its going to be one serious piece of kit. Can't wait to see the result.
