What do you think of the supra?

I was intending on saving up and getting myself an r34 but from they way I'm spending money on my r33 I don't see it happening for a while.
So, I'm thinking of getting myself a supra instead. Obviously it's totally different but I'm beginning to like the idea of having a rwd car and and also an awd car as well. It would be pointless having 2 gtrs.
What are these supra's like? I've owned a 300zx tt, anything like that?

Great machines mate. Very good engines and a lot can be done to them as well.

down side is, they're bulky and don't have a lot of traction, nevertheless great fun.

Been out in a 650hp one and it was a bit scary going round the roundabouts at speed.

Why don't you opt for a drift toy instead? Something like a S15 Silvia or something.

They're a lot of fun and cheaper to maintain and run.

I sort of like the bulky look of the supra if it's good the right kit. My last car was the xkr and to be honest, it handled like a speed boat. I never felt safe in it going round corners. If the supra is anything like that then I'll probably give it a miss.
S15s are nice but what's the power like?
Rx7 is maybe a possibility but I'm scared to death of the ****y engine. I just don't understand it.
I'll need to test drive one to be sure.

That looks really nice!

RX7's are nimble, very pretty cars too

I've got one myself. Enginewise, if it's looked after they're good, if it has been modified properly and the internals, apex seals have been upgraded on them, they do last.

Great cars.

^^RX7's are brilliant, so nimble. I went out in my mates old RX7 and it only had a few little bits done but it was really quick.

Like you (JTJUDGE), the only reason I wont ever buy one is because of the fragile engine together with the shocking fuel and oil consumption

Looking at s15s on pistonheads, all the good looking ones have daft paint jobs.

But wasn't your gtr one of the big bhp ones? Probably used more fuel than gt40

Whats your average mpg on the rx7?

This has the potential to be a great looking car, reasonably priced too.

After buying all the obligatory gold that goes with a supra it would be cheaper to get an r34

Great engine, poor image, picture Michael knight - black leather jacket, red shirt with just one button done up and a pair of dark denim jeans with a rodeo buckle and u have your typical supra driver

Exactly, in a at environment the skyline can feel a little Chav, but because of its all concouring image it's not as bad as some errr ricers lol

My wife reckons it's more chavvy than my old sti and that was blue with gold wheels. She doesn't appreciate it's low wide aggressive look like I do.

The supra for me is like the local bike. I've just got to have a shot!
The s15 is a little more classy looking though so I'll consider my options now. The r34 is one dream that is going to stay a dream now.
