Red rims around alloys

While on my quest to find a GT-R I have been offered a 09 with low milage at a sensible price.. only thing I'm unsure about is the wheels. They have a red ring around them. I have attached an image. Just wondering if this was an option or is an aftermarket thing thats been done and if so how easy it is likely to be to undo ?

Pic is too small to view but its not an option...someone has done that and should probably be shot! if its painted and you buy i would be getting a refurb. Looks a bit of a halford special IMHO.

LOL, dont judge a car by its wheels than can be refurbed for a couple of hundred quid.

Seriously, if the car ticks the right boxes then simply get the wheels refurbed.

Walk away

Plenty of core maintenance to spend money on before dumb cosmetic mods

It's not ruled out, just covering all basis as a cheap car can soon stop being cheap once you add up work that may need doing to it..

Looking at £34k for an 09 black edition with 14,000 on the clock. IMO seems good value even with having to refurb the wheels

Really?

cant believe you would walk away from a car dues to you dont like the colour of the wheels?

It may be the best maintained car on the forum? it may be in the best condition?

Would you really walk away and possible go for a car that is in poor condition because you prefer the wheels?
