Twisted monkeys R32 Rb25 det

Hi all been doing this for a few months now so thought if show you it now she's nearly done
I got this car as a bare r32 gts shell
And the plan was to take the rb25 det engine out of my r33 and put it in the r32 lighter shell
I won the Psds last year in my r33 Gtst using this engine and got myself some Mahle forged pistons as a prize but I won't be using those till the engine needs a rebuild and right now she's still running sweet as a nut

So I'll put piccies up when I get hme later but here's a quick pic of her the day we got her in Lincoln before she was stripped to a bare shell

hi all some piccies this is how she looked the day i picked her up you can see all the rust








so got me some fiberglass gtr rear arches

so next thing to do once i got the car to the unit was to start sorting out all the rust issues

cut out the rust in the front inner arch ready for welding


cleaned up the passenger side ready for painting


starting to prime up the engine bay

nearly there


lining up the gtr rear arches

next up i started painting up the engine bay in orange come out really nice still got to sort the rust but i can finish this off after






whilst waiting for the engine bay to dry i started to cut off the rear arches



then once that had dried we welded up the front arch so i could finish the painting off

ok so next up was lots of welding we had to weld the arch lips up to meet thje new fiberglass arches and some welding on the passenger sill and floor
once this was done we could underseal everything and mount the fiberglass arches

my mate chris welding out the arches to meet the new fiber-glass ones

and the drivers side



while the wings were drying we moved on to doing the welding on the passenger side sill


all grinded back ready for welding

and then undersealed

on to the next lot of jobs in no particular order

fitted my gtr seats out of my r33


also my steering wheel as well


and some driftworks handbrake grip tape and fly off handbrake button


alarm all fitted


head lining and interior lights fitted


picked up a gtst front bumper also some headlights and indicators and also my damaged gtr bonnet


and some gtr front wings for a bargain cause they were a bit battered but nothing we couldnt sort out

okey dokey next up was the fitting of my 5 stud hubs and brakes from my r33 gtst and my wheels from my r33 aswell looks really nice





fitted my trs rear tow strap



started to repair the gtr bonnet


getting there

next up got my mate brad to repair the gtr front arches




then i won a front strut brace on ebay


stripped down again while i wait for the front wings


more work on the gtr bonnet nearly there


painted the gtst front buimper satin black


fitted back in wiring power steering pot washer bottles etc

then i had to repaint the passenger rear arch as it got damaged

then it was on to the engine fitting

strut brace fitted fmic going on with the pipework also my hard intake pipe and air filter plus shield

after this i decided to take her home and finish her off there
Still need to make the gearbox mount and sort the propshaft and exhaust out then I can finally get her on the rd
