i didnt even know that area existed in the past couple of years i have gone to japfest. ground clearance was a real issue on to the grass.

its better than parking up against the trees (on the area by the RX7s) which is where i was last year. (its also really difficult to get out due to the crowds in that area too)

great turn out of people from GTROC and always nice to catch up & meet new faces

you need to get there early (and i dont mean 8am) to get in and parked up. i left at 3am and was there by 6.30. any later and forget it.

however, as a premier club (which i think GTROC is) we should be up where the proper area is / trade stands.

the amount of other clubs i have never even heard off, having prime positions was abit of a joke.

best location i think is where the DC5 owners club was.

just my 2ps

Nicely summed up Wills.

Our stand had beautiful cars and a great GTROC spirit with the added attraction of a huge electricity pylon for background imagery.

Met a lot of old and new Skyline chums on various other stands who I got to visit our stand once I explained where we were.

Thanks Neil for putting up your good images and for the assistance in getting my motor off our stand with taking off the splitter.

My lasting memory is a certain Red Z.

it was the most packed japfest ive ever been to, althou ever year i always get sunburnt so im used to it and maybe oneday i will be more careful, yea the location wasnt the best place, but still was a good day. yea where the dc5 were would of been great or even where the evos were, they seem to be in the same spot every year.

sorry i didnt stop about much and chat to people but i was asked to help out up at the stands and was on my toes all day lol

Totally agree Matty!!! Wills you really need to get on board next year and get this thing organized buddy! being a local to the circuit defo has its benefits! Also your enthusiam is inspirational and endless!
Oh and great work also Speed Merchant allowing Wills to put his 260z on our stand, it showed a great deal of respect and fun for the car and showed a lack of narrow mindedness towards other cars that have pathed the way for our cars, as they are today! And got sooooo much attention!
Roll on next year!

Gutted i couldnt make this, japfest is normally one event i never miss but with the gtr still waiting to be finished and little man poorly and mattys 34 slightly too loud for little ears...i chose to curl up on the sofa most the day with my boy and then go for a little walk.

when i went a few years ago the club i was with was positioned near pylons and you could feel he body work on the cars buzzing and most people got migraines i hope that wasnt the case for you guys.

Matty tut tut ...suprised you didnt get my lipgloss out of the glove box to entise bob further lol
