Try the search button mate, lots of threads on Y pipes & exhausts, Milltek & GTC are popular, Japspeed is good value for money I personally went for a Russ Fellows 3.5" system, you can get a silenced Y pipe if you want also as some complain of cabin drone

Understeer is when you hit the wall with the front of the car and oversteer is when you hit the wall with the rear of the car. Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall and torque is how far you take the wall with you.

Mate, I have a japspeed y and love it!!! Great value. They take about 10 mins to fit once cool to touch and make the gtr sound soooooo much better for such a little amount of cash ; )

Loads on the forum re choices etc and the warranty you should be fine with a y mate ; )

Exhaust

Hi All , I had a Miltek Exhaust and Y pipe fitted : My car needed a new engine and had only covered 3000 miles . Please make sure you get your engine remapped as it will over boost and mines melted !!!

The Miltek y pipe is a good option, our car had one fitted from middlehurst and the warranty was still ok, the y pipe does make the car sound much better tbh!!!! have a word with litchfield imports, they will guide you in the right direction!!! and thats a promise

As I said you must get a remap or you can blow the engine up due to overboosting guys !!! I have the invoices etc to prove it ...

I am waiting till I have a new running in service ( 2nd Engine ) then Im gonna fit an exhaust BUT will have it remapped as car was off the road for 10 weeks ...

Why is the OP asking a question he already appears to know the answer to?

Hi ,

Here is part of the GTR technician at Westway in Manchesters report ...

" vehicle cam in 20/3/12, came in for oil warning light on carried out checks
to oil level but when removing tray found half a litre of oil in the bottom
, found the leak to be coming from the crank shaft oil seal went to
technical to tell them results was told to connect to send data to Nissan to
check
boost, Boost was too high and was asked to checked if any visible modifications,
Frazer also spoke to customer about this, a y pipe was fitted where the cats
sits and we was asked who fitted the y pipe, contacted customer ....

It was touch and go who was to pay for the engine : Nissan did pay BUT I had to have the original exhaust refitted : Im only trying to warn people to be careful they dont get a huge bill ---- Just be careful

Thats very handy information, as i didnt know that. Our car is mapped by litchfields (stage 2) but was running y pipes only for 3 years and they where fitted by middlehurst. I hope your cars running ok now!! you must of missed it everyday lol
