Boxing - Manny Pacquiao v Timothy Bradley...SHOCKING decision.

What a crock of sh*t. Did anybody see it??...if you're not a boxing fan or don't want to read a badly typed analysis of this fight then you might want to skip this page and look at some nice pictures of some Skylines, but i just had to type this.
I'll break it down to what happened...the bell rings for the first round and both fighters start off quite quickly, Bradley showing some speed with his combos and Manny too showing his speed and agility by ducking slipping and pivotting off Bradley's attacks. Not many punches land in the first, but i had it quite even. Then the second round, Manny starts to find his range landing a few nice shots frustrating Bradley making him want to brawl. Bradley tries to rough up Manny and gets tired and recieves even more hard connecting shots , Bradley gets rocked quite suprisingly and the same happens in the 3rd and 4th, Manny is pretty much dominating and has control of the fight. To be honest Manny probably could have finished the fight by the end of the 3rd and 4th as Bradley was so wobbly on his legs. In the 5th or the 6th round Bradley starts to retreat and recieves even more combos and looks absolutely knackered. Then Manny decides to back off a bit, still looking strong and fit and fast, but eggs on Bradley to come forward and fight in hope that he'll get tired so Manny could finish him off for sure. Bradley shows some guts and throws a few combos, but they only land on Manny's arms/gloves Manny ducks dives confident that he's still winning and smiles at Bradley's attacks (which he was, as most people who were watching even the commentators would agree). The final few rounds Bradley is looking like he's making a slight comeback and lands a few jabs, but NONE of them disturb Manny enough to make him wobble or look like he's in trouble. Manny sticks to his gameplan, toying with Bradley. Rounds 9,10, 11 Manny is still controlling the fight but isn't throwing half as many as he did in the earlier rounds. He lands a few more cleaner shots than Bradley, blocking his attacks yet again still looking strong and fit. Bradley only throws jabs with a couple landing Manny nodding his head in acknowledgement that they were ok shots. Manny is still ahead on 9-10 rounds i had it, looking like he was clearly going to be the winner, everyone could see it. The final round Manny throws a flurry of punches a few of them landing but Bradley retreats barely throwing anything clean that connects with Manny's face or body...ding ding Manny looks like he has done it again. But then the judges score a split decision in favour of Bradley!!!!!!!???? winning by, pfft, i can't even remember what they said i was so shocked. Manny looks calm and obviously disappointed, Bradley looks shocked and jumps on the ropes with the look on his face like he's won the Euromillions Lottery, which may aswell have done. Everybody is shocked, the commentators, the fans, Pacquiao's corner and even Bradley's corner can't believe it. I still continue to watch and await the interviews with the fighters. The interviewer talks to Bradley, he starts talking like a little kid who can't believe that he's won and says something like ''my corner said if i win the last round then we've won the fight'' or some bullsh*t like that. The interview is very short with no feedback from Bradley with any descriptions of when he 'thought' he had Manny in trouble or when he 'thought' that the win was in the bag...the interviewer talks to Manny, he looks absolutely gutted and shocked and so does his corner men. He says ' i thought i had won the fight ' then doesn't say much, the interviewer (who i recognise from the kids tv show 'Saved by the Bell' lol) basically tells Manny that even he thought he'd won and tells him the rounds in which he had Bradley in trouble and asks if he was hurt by any of Bradley's punches, Manny says confidently, 'no none of them affected me at all' which they didn't as far as i could see. Bradley then agrees to a rematch in November, which i may even go to like the sucker i am, but i'm sure that Manny will KO him this time as he so easily could have done in this fight..
So Boxing's ugly unfair scoring and corrupt judges have done it again and have turned a fight right round in favour of them. Millionaires who came especially to win money from Manny's fight feel like they have been fisted by Tyson himself and suffer huge losses...maybe it was payback for his win against Marquez that so many people were annoyed with, but in comparison that was a much tougher fight to decide on. This was just or maybe it was so that a few people could cash in big time on all the money that had been bet in favour of Manny, i guess we will never know...anyway i bet Mayweather is touching himself in his prison cell over the fact that he may never have to fight Manny ever...what a crock of sh*t, i really hate how crooked this sport can be at times, no wonder so many fans are turning to MMA, which in my opinion is a much more easier sport to decide on who the winner is...maybe because most end in ko's or submissions lol.

I apologise for boring anyone and i apologise ror my poor grammar, i am still knackered from being awake all night and from smashing the sh*t out the bags at the gym this morning lol.

I feel for you Manny!! you were robbed!!!!

I never thought it was this corrupt though MIKEGTR.
Nightcrawler, it was disgusting. Can't believe how twisted those judges were. It all makes sense now, 'they' (behind the scenes) didn't want Manny to win as he would have fought Mayweather at some point for around 50/50 % of what would have been in the kitty and the amount of money comming in from PPV's. Now, ''if'' they ever do meet in the ring, which i doubt after Manny losing this belt, Manny will have to settle for a lot less of the money because he has a less 'higher' profile and Mayweather will act as if he is not a worthy opponent.
I think Mayweather had some buddies paid off to help set this up...and to answer your question no i'm not from the Philippenes, close though i'm from Thailand but am of mixed race (English/Thai). I've been following Pacquiao ever since he KO'd Hatton (which i went over to see) and at that time i was supporting Hatton too lol, but from that fight gained a lot of respect for the Pacman.

^^^nice to hear you are supporting pacman. things happen in underground. corruption and politics all for the money, but who knows.

pacquiao-hatton was one of pacman's unforgetable fights. one of my favs are pAcman-barrera - classic trilogy!!!!

i have followed pacquiao's story right from the very beginning. watched his fight when he was just starting boxing. he boxed to eat, not for the money. he brought so much happiness and smiles for his fellow countrymen for being a clean fighter, humble, low profile, down to earth and religious person. believe me, he didnt have any education when he started boxing. he doesnt know how to speak english. lots of great stories outside the ring. im so proud of him even he lost this fight. i know him well...

Truly shocking decision, much like last november when Juan manuel marquez beat pacquiao but according to the judges lost! In fairness manny is on the decline, he doesn't have the same blazing hand speed, accuracy or footwork anymore. The mayweather fight should've happened 3 years ago when pac man was in his prime, I can't ever see it happening now and if it does mayweather will win easily.

Bob arum has a lot to answer for in my opinion. He is as corrupt as they come, I reckon he saw pacquiao was on the decline in his last 2 fights and Bradley is on the way up so it's time to cash in on his new cash cow (Bradley).

Decisions like this only make boxing worse, as if it isn't in a bad enough state as it is.

Bennyboy, if it's any consolation I am not a boxing fan, but I enjoyed your report and your reasoning and I feel your anger.

(Oh, but I do enjoy watching a good boxing match when I am flipping the channels.)

I wish i had followed his career much earlier, i like his style and the fact that he likes to get into a real scrap (unlike Mayweather). His speedy combinations are a joy to watch and he can pack a punch aswell. Also the fact that he's a genuinely decent guy too, and there's not enough of them in Boxing. There's too many trash talking 'rude-boys' that give the sport a bad image (aswell as the promoters lol).

I'm sure there's a few more decent fights left in him and i hope he doesn't retire anytime soon.

He is getting close to the end of his career i agree, but i reckon he can still give Mayweather a bit of trouble, it wouldn't be an easy fight for him. As long as it's in the next couple of years that is. But as much as i'd like not to say i think Mayweather would win, he's too slippery and just likes to counter punch. I can imagine Manny getting too frustrated with him and end up playing Mayweather's game of chasing him around the ring in straight lines, which i think is one of Manny's flaws.

I don't know much about Bob Arum but i could imagine that this would be the case with Bradley. One of his first words after the fight was that he will make a lot of money out of the rematch, that says it all really. But in my opinion i can't see Bob getting that much of a following from Bradley, i don't think people will like him or be interested in his fights ever.

K1 isn't in great financial state right now is the only thing, but I used to really enjoy boxing. Carl froch is an example of the old school type of fighter, I think he's the most under-rated, under-appreciated boxer of our era. He fights anyone and has only 2 defeats on his record, yet hardly anyone knows who he is. He's never cherry picked an opponent either unlike floyd.

Even if mayweather v pacquiao does happen now it'll hardly be a 'mega fight'. Manny isn't the same anymore.
