Plenty of people making really good power on precision turbos now.
I like the look of the 6262 as an option for a single on mine. Tib

Yep, posted that a few months ago: Borg Warner EFR turbos coming soon...
Though it seems to be a consistant theme that the EFR turbos have a lot of advantage you can't see on the dyno, the PT6266 clearly makes more power but its also laggier - the EFR turbo's strength is apparently in its (relatively) immediate response and general ability to build boost under load. Someone in NZ tested a GTX3076R vs an EFR7670 on a 2litre Subaru and the dyno plots didn't look wildly different, but found the driving experience to be far more in favour of the EFR than the dyno results would indicate - one of the most impressive things being that on a corner on a track he previously always ended up in that difficult "Too low in the rpm in 3rd so have to hook 2nd, just to hook 3rd again because too high in the rpm" situations so the lesser evil was to stay in 2nd, while now with the EFR he can hold 3rd all the way through. He has also logged hitting 28psi by ~3000rpm under constant load on a 2litre, which is silly for something which has made 550whp on 28psi on a 2litre. These turbos are clearly for different target audiences, the Precision turbos would be more your cup of tea for outright power/drag racing - though for track racing the EFRs are seeming mroe and more like they could still prove to be the ticket.

(2bar)30PSI @ the EFR? Do you use only 1/2 capability?
![]() Who drives the Garrett 2860-5 with ~1.3bar to take the maximum power out of the turbos? look @ the Map ![]() Sound Performance is a Precision Dealer, any questions? ![]()

The point of my post was purely to show a dyno comparison. The EFR turbo range has quite a lot of hype around it,and untill they are made more widely available any info is helpfull, whether it biased or not.
Sorry Lith missed that you had already posted results.

What makes you think that SP wouldn't have started pushing EFRs if they returned a better result?

I would never buy a turbocharger without a compressormap.
Buy a turbocharger without a compressormap is a bad choice, this is my opinion ![]() only good turbochargers have detailed infos, because they do not have to hide ![]()
