Alcon CCX

Anyone using the Alcon carbon ceramics yet.Do they give more stopping power than the standard steel superkit or just more resistant to fade?

They don't give more stopping power.

They should be more fade resistance but crucially they reduce unsprung mass giving better suspension control, better turn it etc.

They also should not need replacing.

I have experience of carbon ceramic brakes, although they were on a porsche and not alcon . I found them to produce no better stopping power but wear rate was very different and almost no brake dust which was really handy when cleaning. Only negative point was in the wet they are not there for the first application which can be alarming !

If they're more fade resistant, they are providing more stopping power. Fade = less stopping ability.

Great brakes I'm sure but £24K buys a load of other mods.
