R33 GTR Blitz Nurspec Exhaust

Hello All,

Just a quick question, I have the Blitz nur spec exhaust without the bung and am thinking about going on track, however I have no idea if the decibal of the exhaust is to loud? The track im going to is Bedford Autodrome.

Any one had issue getting on?

How do they mesure the decibal? next to exhaust? or couple feet away?

Info I have so far is they mesure up to 5krpm

Many Thanks

Zen

you won't have any chance whatsoever without the bung. Even with the bung in you will probably fail the test I am afriad. Bedford is one of THE worst for noise limits

they do two measurements. one is 45 degrees from 1 metre away at 5k (fairly easy to pass)

The other is drive by on track, and the microphone is on the main straight, so basically full throttle.

you get NO second chances or "strikes" you break the drive-by ONCE and you are kicked off for the day. It's not very fair but it's the only way to appease the local council/busy bodies.

I got kicked off in a metro.

they don't. not at a normal trackday at Bedord, unless they have standard, quiet exhausts.

I am looking to do Bedford Autodrome in my 34 gtt with a nurspec exhaust but I have a silenced decat. I have the bung but really dont want to have to put it on and would rather not go! At Donnington this weekend (Japfest 2) and hoping to at least get a drive by reading there as its 87.5db at Bedford and 98db at Donny.

Never had a none silenced decat on mine but will let you know how I get on. Wouldn't be able to comment on power loss. Maybe someone with more technical knowledge on here would be better at answering it

Might only be able to get a static unless I can find someone who works for the track. Organisers for Japfest 2 said it would not be possible to get a drive by db. Yet they stated you could be black flagged from a loud drive by. Surely it's not just me who thinks that does not make sense

Got a reading of 86db at 4k revs today at Donington in a static test. Did not get a drive by reading as I did not trigger the 98db which doesn't help when it's 87.5db at Bedford!

Good to hear back from you.
So with the silent decat it reduces to 86.9dbs that's brill, as normal is 98dbs at 5k with bung, without bung it's 103dbs so looks like the silent decat is a must. If I can source one.

Thanks for your update

I got mine from Japspeed when they had them in stock! £79

They may have some arriving soon via a slow boat from reading the other forum I frequent

Silent De-cats do not reduce power over a de-cat. Japspeed do one for £100.
