4wd light turn on...when the car is hot

Hi guys, greetings from italy

i ve a problem with 4wd on my r32

but i seen the light on dash turn on all times i make some kms.....when i have the car in the garage all night and i start the car the 4wd works well, but after about 20minutes or 15km driving the light turn on....and one time the light turn on i can also turn off the car but when i restart her the light turn on immediately....

it seems the problem born when the car is hot.....and when car is cold it s all perfect....

for this reason i thought i can have humidity inside attesa oil system and when the oil became very hot this humidity became air....so the ecu cut 4wd for save transfer....

could be the problem?

i checked 4wd fuse but it s ok.....and also oil level is perfect, more high than the max level in the botle...

today i would check the red light on grey ecu in the rear, and count the flashes light numbers.....

???

what can be?

help me please

I had this problem when I first got my latest r32. The previous owned had fitted different makes of tyre front to rear (same size) but it was enough to cause the 4wd to register wheel slip and be always engaged. This can happen on worn rears too. When you drive on light throttle is the front torque gauge reading 0? If not it will overheat and cause problems.

One of many possiblilties

If the 4wd light is on but there is no light flashing on the attesa then it has a problem with power,or the attesa unit has broken.check the plugs are in the attesa unit properly as they often don't clip in properly.

Has the car got an add-on 4wd controller? If so these are spliced into the wiring harness in the boot, and could cause a loose connection (I had this).

And as per above the connectors into the controller unit may be loose/corroded, try moving the wiring around (gently) with the car running and see if you can make the fault occur.

Mine's been doing the same thing for a while now. The last time the light didn't come on after a short drive the ambient temp was very low outside, like 20-30 F.

It's on the list of 'to-do's'. I think I'm going to start it up and wiggle the front wheel speed sensors to see if I can get it to come on.

The code is the correct way to start looking, I know.
