Dodson magnet kit and GR6 sump clean

Hi Guys

Just wondering has anyone fitted the Dodson magnet kit for the transmission pan and diff plugs, also have many guys opted to have the sump dropped and cleaned when getting gr6 oil changed?
I'm due my big 36mth service shortly and I'm thinking of asking to have it done at the same time if it doesn't cost too much! Just wondering if anyone has been surprised at the amount of debris inside on the magnets and if it's worth while dropping the valve chest and cleaning the pistons as a precaution too, I've also noticed the shift caps for the pistons are only $25 maybe worth throwing on at same time? Or am I loosing the run of myself like I usually do?

I had the magnet fitted at the same time as I got my circlips and stage 4 done by Kaizer motors. Of course once fitted you have no idea what it is doing, but is supposed to increased the life of the gearbox by collecting all the tiny bits of metal. It is quite cheap so seemed worthwhile.

Won't be going the HPC route myself, get a great service from ECC/AMS UK so will be sticking with them plus their the same if not a little cheaper than litchfields, I believe they use Dodson GR6 oil. To be honest a grand for what is essentially a fluid change service is bonkers from a HPC.

What mileage?

15K miles should be changed for this first gearbox oil change.

And clean magnets.
