Bah!, Among the good space news we have some bad, Sir Bernard Lovell died today Though he made 98 years, so not bad.

question is, will that telescope be used to relay any of the new landers signals. if so, than THAT's amazing

Back in the day it was the only dish that could track targets tot he moon.

Since the Mars probe can talk directly with Earth and there is a deep space network and relay satellites in place it wont be needed, But it can certainly do it.

If you have never been to that dish, It's worth a run out, The pictures can't do justice to its size at all.
