Talking All the way from bonny Scotland....

For the MAGIC touch

As you know we have GTR's from all over the UK and Europe come to us for work to be done on there cars and Jamie is no exception, starting his drive down at midnight and getting to us at 08:30 that morning to have his car detailed by me is just amazing.

After a good wash and claybar treatment the car was inspected and this is what was found.
(nothing out the ordinary for a Kuro GTR)

And after its detail the car was left looking like this:

Thank You

Robbie

Happy New Year Robbie and all the Team.

Nice job there, looks really good. Just taken delivery of a Black RRS, need to get it down for a bit of magic

Hi Robbie,

Car looks amazing lovely after the detail - question - how long does the paint finish stay swirl free after it's had a detail?

Obviously the owner would have to perform some after care - just briefly what would this entail to keep a Kuro black one looking this good?

Thanks

Thats a great question, im ready to spend some money on mine, but as i dont have the time to wash myself id worry that after being corrected it would look as bad 3 washes later!

Thanks for the kind words.

The paint will stay swirl free for as long as you maintain a safe wash / dry method.

There is no other way of saying that Kuro is the hardest colour in the world to keep mint as its black and soft, the worst combo there is.

I put up a thread about cleaning which can be found here:

A guide to safe washing for your GTR

And I really do stress that you do all you can in terms of gentle, low contact cleaning.

I have seen a Kuro GTR detailed by us taken to 1-2 hand car washes and wrecked and I have seen a GTR that got cared for with time spent on it and lasted 8 months before the owner got it re detailed.

Once a car is complete I spend a little time with the owner explaining a safe wash method and demonstrating it to them also.

I am currently working on a product that should be strong enough to hold back the swirls for quite some time as it basically adds a real hard coat to the car, not like others claim and never deliver.

Swirl marks are inevitable but you can help towards when they start appearing.

I hope this helps and if you want a chat about it just call me as I am always happy to help.

Robbie

Are you going to sell this magical substance when it has been tried and tested or only provide it as a part of your detail service?

The application process will play a big part in it to be honest.

If its an easy enough product then I will sell out, if it requires a freshly detailed surface and expert application then it will be an in house product only.

I dont want to sell anything that people will struggle applying them blame the product for if that makes sense.

You could always make a weekend of it in London and get your car detailed at the same time like Jamie did

Foam applicators

Hi Robbie how's things?

Looking for a bit of advice,I've bought some black fire after wash polish,to give the car a nice wet look, however it says to us foam pads for application leave it to dry and wipe off, what's your opinion on using the pads or your suggestion for an alternative ?

Thanks in advance mate

Jamie
