Well my project is almost complete. Thinking about tires. R888's is a no. We are going into winter and want an alrounder. So far iv set my mind on the fedral rsr 595, they are a good price on cam skill (£150 ish each). Anyone used these? My wheels are 285/35/18 .
Was doing 57-58 second laps in the damp/wet conditions round Brands Indy.
Git-R has done a 55 second dead in the dry and the tyres didn't drop off much after a half dozen laps.
Good on the road due to wide channels in tread, so don't aquaplane easily like some 'R' tyres.
For track use you want to get them to about 34 - 36 psi hot.
