Hi guys, After loads and loads of Research and watching youtube clips I am not really 100% sure on what exhaust to go for. I have also realised that even just changing the back box is likely that the car will need a remap to accept it fully. So it becomes more in line with what dealers/tuners in my area can offer? Loads of exhausts available to buy but not many who can fit?
My fav noise is the JDM Password (But am put off with the modification required) and no UK presence? Akropovic look good and have a reputable name but not sure on who can fit it and remap it?
Litchfield with Miltek seems the safe choice but I am not that keen on the sound of the Miltek?
Any recommendations? I live near Newbury in Berkshire and work in London, so anyone in the South really?
The best way to decide is to get down to a meet, have a chat with people and listen to a few different setups. It's so hard to decide from just youtube clips.
Litchfield will fit any exhuast you want. They're about an hours drive from you so i would defo give them a go. I go there from Newcastle! Top notch team
They are akra dealers and milltek dealers but if you supply it they'll fit it. I got my MeisterR system sent directly to them when i switched. You should check it out. Same sort of design as the JDM password system (completely unsilenced). I love it!
I was in the same boat, I spent hours watching youtube vids, and does not do the exhausts justice, so I have held fire for now. Went to the Festive Hoon meet end of last year, and got the chance to hear a few, like mentioned above, hold fire till you can get to a meet, it's the best way of hearing them properly.
I you like the JDM password sound and design, the UK brand Meister R have produced an identical system, that fits better and requires no modifications to the undertray. It sound great if you like that high pitch scream!
Russ Fellows system is nice, I have one, bit doesn't sounds quite as mega as the Meister R to be honest. You have to near the Meister R system in person, it really does make a supercar sound. Only reason I didn't get it is it's a bit too loud for me with a young family.
Thanks guys, all good advice. Will book to go down to Litchfield and then most likely go with something from there. Will keep you posted with what, I am thinking Downpipes as well now though. Cheers
I have just taken of my akropovic of my car fantastic sound etc only reason for taken off due to running over 900 bhp and needing a102m which svm supplied and fitted
I will overcome the sound with several box's of dynamat...
I do find it useful with a high tog duvet in the boot...haha
