Renault Clio - weird!

The wife's clio has developed an odd problem.
When you brake, all the lights come on apart from the inner brake lights, i.e. the side lights, high level brake light and the headlights.
At night with the lights on, the high level brake light stays on all the time and again no inner brake lights.
So in daylight when you brake you are effectively flashing the oncoming traffic and at night, the cars behind have no indication of you braking at all.
I've check all the bulbs and fuses.

I know it's not a Skyline but does anyone have any ideas.

Vincenzo

P.S. We've only noticed it since it came back from the main dealer having the transponder reprogrammed. (lost keys).

Yeah, dodgy earths cause all sorts of odd problems with lights on cars.

Sorted

Now sorted thanks. Some muppet changed a stop light bulb and put in a single instead of a double prong. Was shorting out.

Thanks for the replies

Vincenzo
