Stupid question alert:

Right... what model Civic is this?

http://www.hondaclub.it/img/tavy2.jpg

My friend tells me you can get a 160bhp Vti version for only a couple of grand - would make a reasonable run about I was thinking...

I looked on Autotrader and can only seem to find ugly four door models etc.

Looks like a Vti - they're Vti wheels at least.

1.6 DOHC Vtec motor, 8000rpm redline 157bhp standard

And its just personal taste whether you think the saloon model is ugly or not!! Personally I think the hatchbacks are ugly and the saloons look a lot more 'complete'. One thing that IS a fact, is that that the saloons go for a lot less money than the hatchbacks. You should be able to pick up a half-decent one for under £1500. Probably looking at another £500 for a hatchback.

Cant resist posting a pic of mine, sorry :

What the hell is pikey about that car?

Do you see a badboy bonnet? A flushed tailgate? Neons? 20" chrome spinners?

Ok maybe the spoiler is a bit big, but other than that it's very tastefully modified, compared to some of the ricey crap some Civic's have to suffer

A shopping car with chrome wheels, fake M3 mirrors, a big wing, red front seats and painted calipers is always going to look like a council estate special .

They're not chrome wheels, they're just shiny cos I had just washed them before I took that picture!

Take a look at Dino's wing mirrors if you think mine look chavvy

Big wing - well like I said it's personal taste, but it was FAR from the biggest I could have bought, it didn't weigh very much more than the standard one I removed, and it's functional too! So

'Red front seats' are the standard Recaros from a DC5 Integra Type-R, and cost me £600! Hardly Cobra Imolas at £90 a shot are they!

Painted calipers - erm well um er fair enough In my defence it wasn't me that painted them - it was my brother who had the car before me.

That bonnet is a SHOCKINGLY bad fit

Shame that he's gone to all the trouble of smoothing the side strips off, but hasn't put a rear door handle in place of the front door handle to remove the lock, like I did

That looks remarkably like an intercooler poking out the front of there
