Sounds like you guys are havin' a bangin' time over in Tokyo and it seems that you probably would be able to get away with big Cruises and car gatherings over there without the Police shutting them down. I love both cars especially the S15, keep posting the interesting threads.

Why change from an S2000 to a Hachi Rokku....Er, good question!!
Well, for fun I also have a very well prepared RX-7 to drive fast. The S2000 was meant as a daily use car and although very good for this - and a car I liked a lot (Wasn't standard any more!) it was depreciating fast. A Hachi Rokku is pretty much depreciation proof! I sold the S2000 because I didn't use it, basically. I have the RX-7 to play with and have fun and a company Pajero GT 3.2 Diesel to get around each day, or a Blade for when I'm late and need to get into Tokyo on time ![]() Been wanting to get into drifting, but can't do it in the RX-7 as it's (a) too nice to abuse like that (Drift cars get very hot due to low air flow through the radiator & oil coolers), (b) they sometimes crash! When I saw the Hachi Rokku last Thursday, I knew this was the car to replace the S2000 - as I don't mind stripping everything out of it, it's already some of the way there to making a decent drift car and of course - the Hachi Rokku is THE original best drift car to have! There's also that sound! We got the Toda cams for it, so the head's coming off soon, then we're going to port it, fit some uprated valve springs and these cams, set it up well on vernier pulleys, fit a cat replacement pipe, then have between 200-210 bhp. Modifying car's a sickness that just keeps getting worse!!! These have been posted before, I think but at the risk of repeating them, here's some fine pics of the RX-7 as taken recently by Dino (DCD) for a couple of motoring mags he was doing a feature for. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() If you want more pics of it, let me know. Got more of the engine bay, interior, car spec, etc but I won't bore you with those details unless you want them ![]()

Hi Dave. Yup, that's my Border Collie - Jenny. She loves going in any car... In the quick ones she pulls sort of "paw wheelies" under hard acceleration!
