Talking

Currently I'd settle for enough dosh to put 260/260 cams on, but the busted boost controller means that's where the money goes this year.

Ideally, it'd be my current setup, plus the cams, plus GT-SS', OS Giken close ratio gearbox & Tein Super Street with EDFC.

And a transfer box rebuild.

Trev - that gold '33 that did the Tokyo highway tunnel at 205 is the same gold '33 that Tim owns now.

RB27-Trust running 10,000 revs
Twin 3037-S turbos boosting to 2.5 bar
JUN intake plenum with single throttle body
Fully worked head with 290 cams with 11.5mm lift
1000cc inj running with race fuel
All being managed with Autronic SM2 ecu

Then all the transmission would have to be from OS Giken

Keith

Sounds alright for a little run-about Keith. But what you REALLY want is a 2.2 subaru with a leg out of bed

My dream Skyline is the one i have now!

91 R32
Full JGTC spec 2.0L engine! Dynoed at 503bhp! (Not bad for a 14 year old engine)
un-known sequentail gear box! (it was on the car when my dad bought it)
un-known fully adjustable suspension (we even have differant springs!!, again on the car when he bought it!)

By christ is it fast!!!
0-60 = 3.2
V max = 185mph!!!!! (and yes i have done it!.....on a strip)

Yea from what I have read they use a VQ30DETT in the JGTC well the Calsonic one anyway. Bit of a shame, must be down to weight ratios as a VQ is loads shorter than a RB?

For a wicked time attack - street car.

RB30. Something undermanifold for the turbos. Big cams. Direct port nitrous. It would do 800 on the bottle and have a ton of torque. 600 off the bottle with a lot of torque.

Garage Saurus did a 56.6 in their R32(OS30, T88). M Speed did a 56.7 in their R34 (2.8, AX53B70). If the Saurus guys took the POS 88 off and put on a nice ball bearing setup, or the M speed guys put a 3.0 liter in.... they could get a bit closer to the HKS Evo...

dream? or Realiaty i say! bang for buck 13kus!

dream - money no problem, os rb30, twin t67 or similar, single throttle (using map and water head cooling pipes) and motech m800.............donk!

but in reliaty (what i have, best value bang for buck)
car imported as
semi crashed 32 silver gtr 40000kms (spedo genuine with no tampering)
had tein sus 16" race alloys, cuco brake stopper, and other sus braces, hks remote oil coolerand filter, and std 206kw engine setup
owed me 8500nzd repaired,

add ons include

genuine rb30 block (86*85mm) (not quite as strong as 26 but with better rod ratio 26= 1.65 will still hold 800+hp and should be more endurant at 1.8+ and they have 50mm rod journals not 48mm 26 ones
better rod ratio than os, around 1.8+ with custom low comp height pistons long 160mm est rods, carrillo forges with oil squirters (rb30 blocks have no piston squiters, which waste oil, create major windage, and arnt neccscary anyway), block also has smaller 1.8mm head oil feed holes (tommie sells kits for rb26 block for this, as solid lifter heads dont need the 2.5mm hole) this makes the std 26 oil pump perfect for the job rev to 8500rpm have more oil and pressure (no squirters, & 1.5mm restricter std)
head usuall mods cams valves springs, intake cooling hoses, teflon gaskests for single throttle jun style plenum 900cc racetronix injectors, aeromotive pump, home made swirl, 14mm line,
haltech e6x ecu uses map and very cheap try 800us, running antilag, nos enabled, falt shit, aux rpm limits,3channel direct fire, with 2 channel batched injection, its no motech but does same job and 1/5 price,
2nd hand t88 34d 22cm housing cost me 800us, exh manifold unknow brand runs twin watedgates (cheap ones 45mmx2 @ 200us each,) sourced from yahoo japan for 400us, 4" exhaust and custom muffler owes me 400us all up,
since been de hicased, de absed, de airconed/heated, will be using for circut racing, drag and street,

head and block are in the making, parts purchased and all ready for strip and rebuild, but at this level the whole car owes me less than $18000 nz dollars or approx 13000usd, using 2nd parts cheap substuties, and wholesalers not dealers, also jap braned parts are overpriced,

should easily get 400+kw, try that for bang for buck!
