If was V-Max or 1/4mile and there was absoloute no limit on costs of anything (inc transmission) then id stick to a RB26, tho you havent mentioned it as an option.

For road and track use, esp with a decent road useable gearbox, id choose RB30.

Apart from that i cant be arsed going into details as its silly.

WOULD COME IN A CRATE TO MY SPEC From Japan !
But even I dont take my own advice..... so I built an HKS 2.8 BILLET CRANK Full stroker kit motor Here at Great expense !!!!
balanced to 12000 revs- In case of a missed gearchange
HKS GT'SS Turbo's- Intake and out pipes etc. Tomei cams blah blah....
Turning japanese is a great song, Vapours --new clear days!
but it will save you thousands !!
Much cheaper than my option.... DOH !
I'll see you lot on the track--- skag's
Just my £11.00000 P's worth !

The only 'branded' bit I would use would probably an HKS Hi Deck block.

Internals I would go completely custom, custom exhaust manifolds (that wouldnt crack every 5 mins), custom spec turbo's (twins), single TB, custom inlet manifold, proper direct port N2O, pectel T10 ECU.

Then I would go to X-Trac to make me a decent bloody gearbox unlike all the others out there!

Quick question...

(Semi-hijack)

Could someone please explain what exactly a 'Hi Deck block' is?

Sorry for being dumb,

Thanks

OS Giken 3 litre bottom end to give reasonable off boost torque and 9000 RPM capability.

Between 260° and 280° cams depending on whether you want the emphasis on torque or BHP. Cam lift between 9.5 and 10.8 for road / track, a bit more for drag only.

HKS GT-RS or HKS 2835 or HKS 3037S twins depending on whether you want the emphasis on torque ( 500 + ft lbs ) or power ( 700 to 900 BHP).

A quality tuner to set it up and maintain it.

Motec is my poison for bigger BHP.

You missed one very important category a sequential gearbox linked to the ECU to allow full throttle gearchanges.

It doesn't get much better than that.
