Ah that's okay then. The chap from The Serpentine ignores me and JohnnyG so your name would have been mud!

Another update, I've also ordered Litcho's upgraded oil cooler .

An interesting read
Is the quaife front diff a limited slip as per Nismo?
IMO Capricorn make some of the best pistons, I believe McLaren use them.
Does the bore hone remove all of the low friction bore coating?

Litcho forged engine package, pistons/rods. Not necessarily alot more power, but rather for safety.

Was thinking throttle bodies and inlet manifold..800hp or thereabouts is plenty to be honest.

Front diff is a good idea to do now, little additional labour, and certainly makes a difference to fast road/track driving.

Oil pump rebuilt? Whats was wrong with it? Rebuild over getting a new one? My build is getting a new oil pump.

- Tomei Poncams, I've gone for HKS cams.. Gonna be interesting to see what it all sounds like, feels like once done.. Hoping to get mine back soon, acspeed are getting some miles on it, bedding in process before I get it back, with a low map to drive just over 450 miles then back (oil change etc), and another 450 before it can be full map let loose! Wooooooo

Blueprinted oil pump, not really refurbed in that sort of way.

ACSpeedtech like HKS so no surprise Andy chose their cams. Lower level cams are all actually quite similar in terms of IN/EX durations but HKS have macthed their cams to their turbos so wise to keep to the same.

How do you blueprint an oil pump?
Does that mean just taken apart inspected and put back together?

Ostensibly it varies from pump model to model but in the case of the R35's it means adjusting the meshing of the internal gear sets as there's some binding. There's also a slight catch of the inner gear on the input side that rubs on the casing apparently.

In effect it's about improving the smoothness of the internal parts to reduce wear, heat and stress.

As it happens my oil pump has been stripped and has seen better days so I'm having a new one fitted.
