slight crunch on mine 4th to 5th if you rush the box. Done slowly it's fine (who needs a quick change into fifth anyways right )

be VERY interested in peoples experiances with gear oil solving slight crunching issues?

Drain plug on box - same principle as the oil change.

Perhaps we should do a group buy... any takers?

Copy and paste your screen name

Interested in a group buy for Redline gearbox / diff oils?

I bought mine direct from Redline here

Not cheap stuff, but I have been told by at least three people that it cured their crunch, so it's worth a try.

I will find out when I get my car back in a couple of weeks.

before saying yes to a group buy I would be interested in seeing what the street price is - what discounts are likely and also which product to go for.

The light shock proof sounds good...? what do other people think?

So...

A small poll to see how the rest of you are getting on with your boxes....
I had the same problem, I put some Red Line Shock Proof in it the other week, and it shifts like butter now. Lightweight is some very good stuff.

Mines notchy when cold, but no grinding (thankfully). I'm really careful (read: slow) with gearchanges though.

It is a bit pointless just saying "GTR Gearboxes", as the Getrag and Nissans own display very different reliability patterns.

Well just interested in 32's but thought it would open it up a little

As for different boxes, please explain.

r34 has a Getrag manufactured box which seems very durable. R33 and R32 have a Nissan box, which is less robust.
