Amazing looking engine.
BTW, some of you may be interested to know the Scoot 4 rotor was originally the red Scoot top speed car used in NZ on a bumpy single track road - to do a top speed run. Somewhere in the region of close to 200 mph... I forget the exact figure. Had a good chuckle when Koseki told us this... Take apart a major RX-7 to build a project 4 rotor. Have to admire the guy's style ![]()

Must have been thinking of something else, that is definetely NA. The rotary engine never ceases to amaze me 750bhp NA from a 2.6 engine!!!!

I love that gauge cluster too!!!... As soon as it's released, I'm going to be having 2. One for my own RX-7, one for the race RX-7 being prepared in the UK.
I still haven't decided what I'll do with all the Defi gauges I have fitted to the car, but no doubt they'll find a good home ![]() As for a Speedo... I don't need one... or can fit an Apexi AVC-R or other, to tell me the speed the car's going at. Odometer will be a slight loss.. Still, the car gets serviced much more than is necessary anyways - so the rest won't matter, as it'll never be for sale anyways...

Miguel....speed reading is on one of the 4 displays. Odometer is also present (I'm sure you can program it to start reading at your cars current odo reading) as well as a trip odo. Can't loose

A lot cheaper then other dash units!! Probably around 200,000 Yen so not too bad. Having played with it I can assure you the quality is simply awesome. The digital display is impressive both feature and quality wise, and having been shown all the features and options it will have I'm well impressed. Even has a lap timer!

Awesome news!!!
Trust Koseki to think of everything an RX-7 owner could want, lol. It's going to be around £1,200. Better than a bunch of gauges all over the place though... Even though I quite like the gauge pod, etc, etc. May be a sign of gauge clusters to come from Defi..!! The RX-7 cluster will fit all FD's which is good. I'd hazzard a guess there may be one developed for other cars of which there are many, in Japan, next...but what cars? All models have different gauge clusters, or are only sort production runs... Maybe Evo 4-6's..? Did you ask Koseki San about this when you were there, Dino?

From what I understood there will be different versions for different cars. Turbo versions should have the analogue boost gauge next to the main rpm gauge instead of the vacuum reading for NA cars. I guess Defi will build harnesses and enclosures to fit it to as many cars as possible. Knowing how gadget crazy Japanese car enthusiasts are it's something they must do.
Miguel...getting one for the AE86 too right? ![]()

Ferchrisakes..! I've just bought an electronic lap timer that resets itself automatically... for use at Tsukuba!
More wasted expense!! I guess I can sell it too. I can feel an e-mail beginning to develop - to Koseki San, to make sure I can get a bunch of units as soon as they're off the production line... I WANT 2!!!! ![]()
