Holy christ...

(Although it would have been nice to see something closer to an FD rather than some GT/SLR hybrid)

There was a 4rotor FD at rotorstock

Incredibly loud, didnt actually go anywhere at any real speed tho for some reason, it ran the strip, slowly.

3 and 4 rotors are awesome

That would be Carl's car SteveN, it's still very much 'in progress', with a lot of stuff to do, think it was going so slowly to avoid blowing up

Footage of it here

Just had a look at the vid. The Scoot car sounds a hell of a lot smoother and better tuned!! Looks and sounds a bit of a mess that car!! Is it based on 4 12As?

I believe Carl Hayward only ran a 15.1sec 1/4 mile as the 4 rotor is NA there is no turbo unit nothing, hopefully next year there will be a turbine of some sort to really show what its all about !!!!

By heck it was loud though, was parked opposite it and thought WTF

Scoot one is also NA. Manages 400HP at 8,000rpm. God knows what it would produce with a big blower!

Yes thats the idea, but until then please people stop asking for hi-res versions!! My PM box gets filled up every week with people wanting pix. I don't give out free pix!

And yes these cars will all be published in various mags...I don't do this for a hobby

DCD- That 4rotor from UK is on twin carbs (so must be pretty horrendous to drive, certainly didnt seem very set up)

The 787B LeMans cars ran 4rotors and were 750bhp with no turbos IIRC

A relativley mild 4rotor like the Scoot one must drive bloody lovely

yes it was impressively smooth running. He de-tuned it quite a bit so he could run the car on the road. A lot of work went into the exhaust to quieten things down and he will be swapping the 2xPFCs for 2x Fcon V-pros after the summer. As with all NA rotaries the power delivery is extremely linear and the speed/acceleration is deceptively slow. I was always waiting for the whoosh of torque to come in but it never did! LOL
